Haha love it. I couldn't even tell you how many times I drove up trees in the past couple weeks lol. I had a good 15 minutes of running full throttle at one, to find out the battery in my camera died after a minute and a half in the middle of the first run at the tree. LoL good times. 🤣😂

For the most part, yes... This repair was a little more involved because I have been wanting to build and put in some bullet proof diffs. So I took everything apart and built it up from scratch. All I really needed to do was replace a star gear in the planetary set....I am sure you could crawl up trees with your skillz! I didn't get a chance to comment on your hard lines video. So just to let you know, it was an incredible video and work. 🤟👊

Bro! Great video. Hey wanna share diff tips? I don’t know if you’ve seen my channel but my wife’s notorious eats diffs. But at this point I think I’ve found a bulletproof recipe for 6s diffs. At least as bulletproof as they can get. Got 4 packs through my wife’s rig and no skips at all. Keep killing it bro.

Yeah, for sure. That sounds good. I just built one from scratch. I haven't even installed it yet. It is definitely better than piecing one together with leftover parts like I have been. I do have a new aluminum EXB diff case that is waiting for me to build. Along with a set of M2C drive cups. When you have time, let me know what recipe you got cooking.

@@DozersRCPlay-vf4pd sure man. So in my experience. My wife is the one that won the freestyle at arrmageddon. So she eats diffs. I’m constantly rebuilding. Well I was and using used parts as well. What I came down to is all new parts assembled at one time. Bearings, gears inside and out. Ring and pinion. Aluminum cases and housings/bulkheads. M2C outdrives and input cups. I usually start dry on the diff. And add one thin shim behind a crown gear. Oh yeah. EXB diffs but open front and rear. So one diff shim between the big spacer that replaces the friction plates. Other than that factory assembly. Assemble dry to check for smoothness. If ok add lube. Then 2 thin shims on the pinion and one on the diff for clearance. Re shim till notchy with the cover on then take away one diff shim. Run for one pack. Add one diff shim inside behind the other crown gear. Reshim the diff ring gear as needed. My wife’s run 5 6s packs on her notorious and no clicks yet.

@Logan_gamble AWESOME -- THANKS for taking the time on that. Second, give your wife a congrats on that kick ass freestyle at arrmageddon. I caught clips of it on video. Very cool 💪!!! Unfortunately, I thought I was doing myself a favor by combining old parts to replace diffs. The last couple have been baby steps towards your recipe. It sounds like what I just built. I have not installed it. The only part is adding another behind the pinion after running a pack. It seems like it would be too tight. On my baby step example, I checked it after a few batteries, and it was still tight. Maybe not notchy enough or as tight as it should be. I am definitely going to try it when I put it all together. I also have the pin for the cups from M2C, but I think they are just for 3s. It's definitely the wrong size. Do you just use the stock exb pins? Last question. Have you found the extra shim under the thick one is always necessary? Thanks again. I really appreciate it. I just started last year and have been mostly figuring out what works versus some you tube advice on my own. I did a lot of trial and error and figured out almost everything/EVERYTHING needs a mod or something that works for your own setup. Most of my 6s rigs are set pretty well. I use a freshpark 1/4 pipe for some big air. So nothing is completely bulletproof, but this will definitely take me a lot further. Thanks again.
