🇺🇸 I hope you enjoyed Parral! I loved it! Thank you to Fernanda who recommended Gota de Miel and Dobladas, and Jesus who informed me of the meaning of the siren at the mine. I know this is quite a long video but these ones are doing well lately and Parral really deserved a long one. In fact, the next video after this is another 4K walkaround filmed the day after on Easter Sunday... as you can imagine it was quite peaceful. Regarding Easter in Mexico, I've always found it to be quite a quite occasion. *What do you do at Easter?* 🇲🇽 ¡Espero que les haya gustado Parral! ¡Me encantó!

This brought back memories. My dad's side of the family is from here. My grandparents saw Pancho Villa's body after his assassination. I would go there as a kid every Christmas to visit my grandparents. They lived in the building behind that big cathedral at the beginning. That mining siren alarm would wake me up everyday, and it lasted a long time.

Thank you David. I was born in Parral but moved to New York City when I was 9 in 1963. I lived on the street where Villa was shot. The mine was still operational so I have never been there. The whistle of the mine would sound at 10pm and all good boys and girls would have to come home by that time.. All "Parralenses" are very proud of our city and its long history. We call it the capital of the world, and not ironically because of the great wealth of the silver mines. Kudos to you for pushing the envelope!!

Awesome video David. I really love your Mexico series. Is it possible to show how you travel from one town to the next. Like is it by bus? How was the trip etc. Thanks and stay safe.

Hey man yep pretty much 90% by bus. I might include that in a future video actually. Obviously if a long distance I might fly depending on whether direct or not. Like last year I flew from Los Mochis to Chihuahua as literally no other way

I read somewhere that they want to make it a Ciudad Patrimonio. Will see if that happens & what it will look like later. 🤔

Parral is not even in the tentative list. That would be the first step, and there are places that have been in the tentative list for years, like Taxco in Guerrero.

Wikipedia says Parral averages 19 inches of rain annually, most of that in the summer. So not exactly a desert.

Oh come on it's pretty obvious I was purposely exaggerating for dramatic purposes
