Gingeeblush “female clothes” and “male clothes” are extremely subjective. Make up being only for women is completely subjective. It was invented and worn by men first. As were heels, btw. And having a garment of a certain pattern or flow on the body shouldn’t bar men from wearing it. I bet you have no problem seeing women wear pants or wear suits which were once seen as inherently male. I’m sure seeing a woman with short hair doesn’t make her a man. Just stop, your comparison falls short.

This is exactly why Tamar used to give Jeanine the side eye. She has warped views when it comes to Black culture and racism. She has a stereotype of Black men being thugs because that is who she dated and she consistently makes excuses for racism because she just doesn't get it. There is a lot of racism towards Black ppl from Asians and as Maya Angelou said , "Racism is insidious" it shapes how you think, so even when you try not to be racist, growing up in an environment that perpetuates racist ideas will impact you. I think this is what has happened to Jeanine. What she is doing is the equivalent of Mansplaining but with race. She needs to hush and listen to the Black women educating her at the table.

I am a black girl from Sweden and I can tell you right know that a tan would last a maximum of 2-3 weeks after a vacation. She still looks like that and aint to way she could still look like that and say she got that skin colour from the sun. The sun in Sweden goes a way in October and comes back in March. Meaning the sun is only up for a couple hours. Go educate yourself on blackface and the history of black people around the world and maybe then you could understand why this is wrong and racist. They want the best of what we are, but while they’re stealing it, they give no RESPECT ✊🏽 to black ppl, no support to our struggle. Read the twitter posts of some of these girls. They say the most VILE things about black women, then say they’re gonna get them a black man! And they do. All the while, tricking these simple black men into thinking they’re biracial. 🤦🏽♀️. Some of these brothas don’t even care that they are gentrifying our identity. They look good, that’s all that matters. Meanwhile, real black women are being rejected for being too black or not pretty enough, etc. I’m disgusted.

If people can have an operation because they are no longer comfortable being their gender, this kind of stuff will happen as well. Because they're are A LOT of people who hate their skin color. This IG model is making herself look at least racially ambiguous as this is what the IG “models” of the day look like now. Curly hair, caramel complexion, big lips. She’s profiting off of a “look”/ that isn’t primarily associated with her ethnicity. Finally beauty standards have been diversified. Black-fishing aside - cause I agree that taking opportunities away from minorities through deception is never unacceptable. The perception I have been given by social media, is that white girls may not alter their appearances to incorporate other ethnic looks. Eg. Braids or curling there hair. Thus my question - If we are all for diverse beauty standards and celebrating each others beauty, why is not acceptable for the white girls to alter their appearances? Why not be more inclusive? How I view equality is exactly that, being inclusive, inclusive in every area, even beauty. Please help me understand."

@@MissPaparazzi88 thank you for trying to help me understand. Now I have more questions. 1. "MY HAIR IS A WHOLE PROJECT. I WISH I COULD WASH IT AND JUST LET IT AIR DRY. NO OTHER RACE STRUGGLES WITH HAIR LIKE BLACK PPL" - I respect the hell out of you for dealing with this daily. My sister has frizzy hair and just knowing how much she struggles, I can't imagine the amount of effort that you must have to put in. All of a sudden I am little less inclined to moan about those few stray hairs.... I still envy the vava voom volume and curls though. 2. "WE HAVE TO BRAID IT OR GET WEAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THIS FAST PACED LIFE AND THIS JUDGMENTAL SOCIETY TO "FIT IN" - yes I agree that the "having to fit in" concept is unfair, but is preventing others from embracing a style not hurting the cause for acceptance? In another clip Loni talks about how her employers had an issue with her braids and she had to wear wigs. By having more women (and men) wearing their hair in braids, would it not make it more acceptable? (Yes I know the fact that it has to be "made" acceptable is ridiculous, it should just be accepted.) I think by excluding people, only adds to the resistance, instead of removing it. 3."EVERYBODY WANNA "ACT" BLACK BUT, DON'T WANNA TAKE ON THE HARDSHIPS THAT WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH." - Loni said something similar to this in the clip. I am not gonna pretend that I understand all the hardships you have to deal with, but I do acknowledge it and have sympathy. I also feel that this statement imply that people that are not black, either don't have any hardships or diminishes their hardships. That's not true, it may not be the same, but it is defiantly not less. For me, as a society our use of language has caused a lot of unnecessary division. We talk as if there are only two sides. Pick one and be opposed to the other. Thus this statement could be seen as either you are black and have hardships or you are not black and have none. Instead of creating acknowledgement and sympathy, we create a divide. I am sure that it was not your intention, and it was not at all how I interpreted it, but in our current global political climate we need to be conscious of how our words could be twisted by someone who feels they have to be opposed to it because they are excluded. What are your thoughts on this? Shay again, thank you for your reply.

But my point really is, it's better to build rather than carry hatred and let it fester. Ethnic background isn't the glue holding communities together. Actually, I have traveled to various countries across Africa. From the communities I visited, I have more in common with the people there and they are closer to me than they are to you on account of our shared religion and the values from our faith. It goes beyond nationalism and ethnicity. You can be black, white, or asian, but that means nothing in the bigger scheme of things. It's a superficial "union". inpurelove Yes, darker skin and black features are being celebrated and recognized as beautiful, however not when they are on black women themselves. It is not “playing the victim” when people are profiting off physical characteristics of black women (I.e big lips, voluptuous bodies and curves) when historically black women have been made fun of, ostracized and deemed as “less beautiful “ when compared to European standards of beauty. THIS is the problem. Why can’t blackness be celebrated on black women? Why is it acceptable for white women to profit and benefit off blackness at the expense of black women? Blackness isn’t a “style” nor “trend” to be copied. People want to benefit from the appearance of “ being black” and “acting black”, but say nothing about the social injustices faced by black and brown people. These girls are benefiting off the oppression of black people. In short, everyone wants to be black, but no one really wants to be black.

I believe that it would be wise to understand the root of this problem. If black beauty (in the U.S.) was not marginalized for centuries, then yes, Jeannie would be right. However, American black beauty has been mocked, condemned, and dehumanized since slavery. The results have been DEVASTATING, and black self-hatred has transferred through the generations. Black women have been taught to hate themselves because of their features. Within the last 45 or so years, non-black women have capitalized on those very features, and on a non-black woman, she is considered beautiful. Apparently, black beauty is beautiful (ie. exotic) when it's on a non-black woman. Because this profound issue underlies a white woman "dressing up" as a black woman, it is vital to not go into this conversation ignorantly. No Jeannie, black women's beauty cannot be compared to a transvestite! At what point will society stop mocking the black woman? And why the pretense over what is a very obvious behavior? This white woman is wearing black beauty as a costume and capitalizing off of it.

You may get killed if your gay but you can avoid it by hiding but when your black everyone in the world see you as inferior the Europeans, the entire Western Hemisphere, Asia, and even Africa. Tell how all of what she says can equate black and gay

After years of no foundation, no representation, now the black beauty industry is finally opening up to all shades, and everybody wants a piece, because they see how POPPIN it is, and that euro standard of beauty is PLAYED OUT!

When u go a little darker on the foundation, we get it u want to look tan. But when u change the texture of your hair too, to resemble that of a black woman, it is BLACK FISHING

Her point, while trying to play devil's advocate is that Patrick performs as a different GENDER and as a result gets paid as a female beauty blogger because of that. Before you go chasing me down the street, I'm not saying that it's the same as this black struggle but there is a degree of similarity

@@light2046 How is it different? Drag is LITERALLY the same thing as black face (men dressing up as caricatures of women and acting out all the negative stereotypes). Its just we live in a faux progressive society where gay men can get away with any and everything, including dominating a industry that was meant for women! Just like this white girl is taking opportunities from black girls yall don't think Patrick is taking away opportunities from a real plus sized filipina makeup artist?

It's called analogy. Do you not understand how analogies work? Patrick is trying to embody a different gender and this blackfishing chick is trying to look more exotic

emma smith I was going to say the same thing but idk about Ariana Grande. There are some pictures where she looks hella dark but then I realized it was all the lighting and filters once I looked at another picture. Also, everyone knows she’s Italian💀💀. So she’s not lying about her race to make a profit, which is what this whole things about and what this young lady is doing right here.

@@booooo4700 I agree and interestly enough some Italians (Sicilians) actually get darker, so she can easily play that up and it be normal within her culture. Yes, Grande profits off of using blackness as does Bruno Mars, and many other celebrities but not to the extent of blackfishing yuck!
