I took a class to build a cobra and since you have to install the pedal assembly soon the book tells you to cut something and I can’t remember what it is. It has something to do with the throw of the pedal so my advice was to make sure you sit in the car and make sure that it will be in the right position for when you cut it. Because you could cut it too short if you don’t do that. The build process is very similar between the two and I believe the pedal assembly is the same between the two Also once you install the pedal assembly the gas pedal will get stuck if you press it all the way down. The lever will get stuck wide open so you want to cut that.

That's why I fit the gas pedal with the pedal assembly in place. I made sure I can mash the gas full open, and it won't hit or get stuck on anything. Also, I put the seat in temporarily just to see how the pedals feel all together. I plan to get a seat slider to mount the seat as well.

@@Danny-in4rb It certainly was a threading the needle kind of challenge to make sure the throttle linkage didn't get jammed on the steering column on one side and the brake pedal on the other.

Very useful about all the behind-the-scenes work and communications with FFR. I have to say I’m surprised how much of a battle you’ve had with FFR to get all your parts. You’d think by now they would have their process down pat. You’re doing a great job thinking and building your way through it all. 👏💪

Ya, the parts issue has been frustrating. I'm not in a hurry to get the car done, but I have hit a bit of a wall with the missing parts. I actually got notice of the order for the parts. I'm hoping to have a shipping label/tracking number by cob Monday. Maybe have the missing parts by next weekend.

Sounds really tight. Do you have room for a dead pedal?

There is a very little bit of room where I could mount a dead pedal.

I feel like it's more work to restore a car. You have to take everything off, fix it, and then put it back on. I'm just putting parts on. Granted, it's a lot of custom stuff, so I have to figure out where and how to mount it...

I took a class on building a factory five cobra at Mott community college I have had no mechanical experience and it was actually very very easy. There wasn’t anything that was hard the hardest thing was figuring out the order of which to put the aluminum panels on.

I’m installing a 408 (351 based) Blueprint Engine in my Coupe and was wondering where you installed your fuel pressure regulator for the Sniper EFI. Thanks!

I haven't installed it yet. It's looking like I will mount it near the top of the driver's side footwell, very close to the firewall.

As a heads up, there’s mixed opinions on the forums about driving the coupes in a gel coat, which is different from the roadster. The issue with the coupe is the windshield gets glued in. If you haven’t see those, they’re definitely worth searching for.

Yes, his brake setup is different from mine, but I'm going to see how the smaller size feels, and if I don't like it, then I still have the larger ones to try.
