Great stories. I've tangled with the G Bear quite a few times while Sheep hunting. Can be quite unnerving . We have had to fire a few shots but luckily not directly at the bear. You have BALLS of steel having to go through that twice . I must say the G bears always show up when you least expect it. It's super fun when you run into a Momma Grizz with cubs while on horse back and the Mom runs off and the Cubs climb the tree beside you!!!!

I was in a really bad accident on a Snubbing Unit years ago. It was life altering and im very fortunate to be here today. I know exactly what you mean. In my incident the pipe collapsed and struck me on the arm. My arm broke the handke off of the Power tongs, welded steel. I have flashes of the incident sometimes. I also have memories of seeing an arial view of the Rig floor and everyone panicking. I was at the UofA for several months in the trauma unit afterwards. It wasnt my time yet so im still here. Thank the Lord because im am blessed today with a beautiful family

Yeah , it would have to be the bear , these things are out of our control . And yes when you are in a position of life or death everything slows and you instantly think of your life maybe due to give ones self the drive to not die or to let you know it is very important to survive.

I believe that 45 mph is 58 feet per second , so 90 feet let's guess 30 mph= give or take 35 to 40 feet per second. State police accident reconstruction teams will tell you it take 1/2 second to react. It was a lot less than 15 seconds,you my friend are extremely gifted and fortunate to be alive. I have seen my life flash before my eyes in an accident (oh shit this is gonna hurt). I believe everything you say, Walter Brennan in (The Guns of Will Sunnet a western no brag just fact).Stay safe live long and prosper. Ps bet you checked your underwear

Can Grizzlys swim? If you had jumped in the lake and swam out a bit could he have swam out and still got you?
@outlawcountry6069
Ай бұрын
Great question. Grizzlies can swim but they’re not the best swimmers . The issue is that the lake I was on was very small and only about 3-4 ft deep . It did cross my mind briefly to run into the lake but he could have got me in that shallow water . The situation I was in didn’t allow me much time to think about anything, it happened VERY fast. Thanks for reaching out my friend, be safe

I am still laughing at your opening. There you are in the middle of no-mans-land, sitting by a nice fire, and your going to tell scary stories. Okay then something happens to your camera??? Was that on purpose? Because you continue on like no problem. Okay, going to listen to the Grizzly story, now that all my lights are on.

Hahaha, I guess it is strange that I can go in the middle of nowhere with a tarp and lay down and feel so at peace . I know there’s animals and other things all around but for some reason , I don’t fear them . I almost feel like I’m one of them , like this is where I’m meant to be . As for the camera , nope it wasn’t on purpose . I have no idea what happened to it . I’ve had this kind of thing happen many times and often I just shrug it off and carry on . I’m so glad you enjoy the journeys Cheryl, it makes me happy to bring people along that may not get to see the beauty that I see and love . Thanks my friend, stay safe.

Unfortunately , when the grizzly charged me and I was forced to kill it, I dropped my day pack on the ground and left without it . My mind was obviously rattled and I didnt realize until later that evening that i left my pack there . When my buddy went back the next day , my pack and sweater were torn to pieces by either wolves or another grizzly. I was so upset as it was a beautiful keepsake that my mother in law knitted for me and now shes gone .
