Part 3 of our trip to Gudvangen.
We are now down from the mountain, as you can see in part 1 - Sognefjellet and part 2 - Tindevegen.
We now ride along the fjords of the western part of Norway. Here there are lots of tunnels, not the biggest fan of this since it robs us of the view, but it's something special when you get out of the tunnel and the world opens up, and you never know what you will see when you get out.
In this video, we ride through Lærdalstunnelen, with its 24.5 km, it is the world's longest road tunnel (At least in 2024). It takes about 20 minutes to drive through. To break up the boring tunnel they have put 3 light pockets, and this has gotten popular photo stops.
After many kilometers of fantastic riding along the fjords and an endless amount of tunnels, we got to the Gudvangen tunnel, and now both my cameras had died….
I am pretty new at this, and my old GoPro has had about 4 hours of running time, and I planned it so that it should work all the way to Gudvangen, but this died in Lærdal.
My new 360 camera needs new batteries at almost every stop, but I sadly forgot this in my eagerness to get going. I do promise to try to get better at this!
In the next episode, you will see some pictures from around Gudvangen and the Viking Valley, which was our main reason behind this trip. And a little from our ride home. Due to the forecast saying rain all the way home, I left my cameras in the bag. But I used my phone when we had some stops along the road.
