If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

@@CoatsandGaiters I like the reinforced copper wrap idea, that much hadn't crossed my mind. I know how insidious coolant can be to epoxy repairs so I didn't even bother out of my own coward-laziness so I just bypassed it with plugs. It worked but bypassing it negatively affected my warm-up efficiency. You are a very smart guy, it shows in numerous ways and I thank you for posting these videos. Just wonderful content.

Jgizzy -redacted- thank you for your lovely kind comments. My artic lorry trainer may disagree with you on me being smart lol Just passed it yesterday but boy did I struggle learning to reverse it into a delivery bay. Doing so convinced me I might suffer some learning difficulties.......no joke. Got there in the end but while others picked it up quickly I was floundering around on the reversing procedures.

At the end of this video you referred to part five I can’t find it on your channel it jumps right to seven is there a reason I can’t find part five and six? I am about to start the process of replacing one of my valves on this same engine seeing that I have never done this before I found your videos one through four extremely helpful! Would love to see five and six if at all possible

Hi really sorry I named them differently as they could apply to other engines. Part 5 is called "Resurfacing a K20 Cylinder Head using Sand Paper and a Stone Slab. Honda CRV 2 litre Petrol Engine" and Part 6 is "Lapping Valves and replacing Valve Stem Oil Seals on Honda CRV 2.0 Litre Petrol K20 A4 Cylinder Head"

@CoatsandGaiters
Жыл бұрын
Thank you. As we are removing the cylinder head some of the valves will be pushing into the cylinders so taking the pressure off means the valves can relax and sit back in their seats.

@@CoatsandGaiters I do have a broken spark plug. I already tried with an extractor but the thing got stuck in there too. I´m having such a pain in the lower back. Ericthecarguy say in a vid that it is possible. It has a thread I guess. Because it is aluminum on the head and steel on the tube. ¿Ins´t it? I do not know what to do. Removing the head seams to be the only way this far. Suggestions are most welcomed.

I have oil on threads #1, #2 and #3 Spark Plugs (2005 CR-V EX), I have not done to this step yet (17:20). Do you think those White Rubber Rings (O-ring/Spark Inlet Gasket) are causing the oil on three spark plugs? Again, the oil can be seen on Electrodes and Threads while the Ignition Coils are cleaned. I have Valve Cover Gasket Kit: shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/felpro-valve-cover-gasket-set-vs-50614-r/20688540-P?searchTerm=valve+cover+gasket+kit 1. One Valve Cover Gasket 2. Four Valve Cover Spark Plug Tubing 3. Six 10mm Bolt Seal with metal domes 4. Just don't know where the Four Plug Tubings go into? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

all good info but leaving us with a hanging cylinder head is not cool. maybe you should have waited till job was complete before posting any of the series. What lead you to believe your head is warped

Thank you for the comment. Sorry about not being able to post it all once complete but the task would take about 6 months and be a huge production job while working so it's more of a series showing me doing the car. Also there would be a risk of nothing being uploaded if I did it that way with family commitments. I have done my next video in this series where I show the head is warped and how I flatted it. Hopefully I will be doing more on it this week. But it's only the reverse procedure to do now. Sorry though if you were waiting for me.

@@CoatsandGaiters I really do appreciate the time and effort you have put in for that particular motor. I think its the only one of its kind for that model. You gave me the confidence to start ripping mine down now. I was just hoping to see you show me proper valve adjustment procedure but guess I can find that elsewhere. Great for the garage mechanic that does not have all the fancy tools. good luck on your viewership and hope to see that CRV on the road again.
