Oh my friend! So talented and it is apparent you have very good sewing skills the way you assembled the journal cover. You remind me of my grandmother when she sewed, I was always in aww how she manipulated the e fabric and cussing in German and I would laugh and she said not to repeat those words!😂. One day I will get a sizzix and try this method. Oh and yes I do covet some of the things I make and need to learn how to digitize those. Also the fabric I got from your shop I’m waiting until I get better at journal covers to make it! Thanks so much for sharing your talent and you are a wonderful teacher❤xx

Oh dear! I must have the sewing skills in my genes 🤣. My father's mother was German, too. After she passed away I was given her old sewing machine. It still works as a clock, I love using it from time to time. She was very good at crafting and sewing, especially crochet and embroidery. She would speak in German to me sometimes and I never understood a word but I knew what she meant by the tone of her voice, especially if did something that displeased her 🤣

The digitals are so gorgeous! And the scientific names are not only functional but also decorative. And I really like the cover. This type of elastic cord binding is much better than classical ring binding - same functionality and superior coziness. So far despite my multiple intentions I haven’t purchased grommet eyelet pliers kit but totally need to order one now, after this video. The reason I was hesitant is that I was on the fence whether I should invest in that fancy Crop-A-Dile Eyelet and Snap Punch or a basic tool. I see you punch with the fancy tool but close the eyelets with the basic one… So I think I should opt for the basic one. I doubt I would ever decide to sell my hand-made products (one thought of parting with something I invested so much of my time and soul gives me nightmares). For my only needs the basic one will be enough.... I think.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the digitals and the binding. I always go for the basic tool to install eyelets - it's easier for me. You can punch holes with those metal tools that are really affordable, no need to invest in Crop-A-Dile if you're not going to use it much. It's handy but not essential 😊

Thank you so much! I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one obsessed with this.🤣 We visited my sister-in law yesterday and when we were driving back home I was looking at the trees on the side of the road. I made my husband stop the car twice so that I can pick some leaves! 🤣 I came home and went to my room immediately and then I thought to myself, oh my goodness, I have an addiction problem 🤣🤣🤣.

@@Saacibo lol😂Same here!!! I've gone to town twice in the last week looking at all the trees then stopping on the way home and collecting them. I have a full bucket🤣I definitely have a problem! Glad we are in this together!😅I wonder if they have leafoholic anonymous? 😆Honestly I have a ton of other things to accomplish but I keep being led back to the 'leaves'. I think in part it's the fact that the time is now to do it cuz its not a 'oh we can wait till later' kinda thing. Plus I love it and, I'm so fascinated by it all!!!

If you Very carefully make a slit in the cardboard on the back and put the tiniest bit of matt medium in, you can smooth it carefully with your finger on the fabric side you can get rid of the bubble. Carefully is the magic word here! lol...
