Nice job Techs should use the vacuum gauge more often. The relative compression test seems like everyone is using to distinguish mechanical faults . Can't beat that test checking cam crank correlation. Really nice inductive coil scope you used. more often. Looks like everybody is going to the relative compression test.

I have a 6.0 liter Chevy Express van that has 15 psi vacuum but it fluctuates but it also has p0300 code

Try disconnecting the egr valve electrical connector. Had a similar problem on a 2000 GMC jimmy.

Just to make sure I understand correctly. You figured the coil was bad because of the nature of the code or was it a test you did that I missed?

The code and the info pointed to a specific problem on the ECU. Plus some knowledge that how some coils can burn the driver inside the PCM.
