Lord ah mercy… This dear warrior spirited lady’s recount of the horrors perpetrated on her baby boy brings me to tears 😢. I wish I could have 1/10th of her strength to weather the storms of life let alone something as diabolical as what she had to endure…. As she kept say “the body,” that is indicative of her strong faith to know that her baby’s spirit was released from that corporeal shell to be absolutely free from that hellacious pain. May you rest in eternal peace our Queen and thank you for your selfless service you provided via your strength and determination to make it through such a tragic and historical time that will never ever be forgotten.

The strength and overall professionalism of Ms. Till, after the animalistic brutality of her child, is just remarkable. This kind of miracle strength, could only come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 🙏🏽

Bless this woman, she was his mother, and she had every right to open up that coffin, I completely understand why she wanted it open, why she wanted to be sure it was her baby, her bo, she's right, they could have put anything in that coffin, if she just had let them bury it without knowing for sure, it would have always been on her mind, not knowing if it were her son or not and I think that would have made it harder to live with, yes it wouldn't have been nice to see but at least she would have got to see him one last time

This is one of the best historical interviews I have ever seen! Would you be able to fix the last few seconds of the audio? It goes mute after 5:51. I really wanted to hear what else she had said.

You can do a Google search on him and will find lots of information. Wikipedia has a great deal of interesting information about Emmett and about all the horrible things that were done to him. Also, KZitem has many more videos and documentaries. Hope this was helpful to you. Take good care.

I forgot to mention that there is a new book out that seems very interesting with new information. The book is THE BLOOD OF EMMETT TILL, by Timothy B. Tyson. I have not read it yet but I plan to.

Have you read Mamie Till’s book? That’s worth the read and not from an historian who sat on that woman’s confession for years and also trying to profit off Emmett’s story.

Such a wonderful lady, how sweet and gentle, it breaks my heart that she had to go through so much pain, how strong and brave she was to show the world the evilness of the south mentality and that thanks to her bravery and strength, such evil was exposed. Emmett Till and his Mom are now together next to God. Rest in peace sweet Mom and Son.
