This was definitely me at my old corporate job. I gave my all to that company for two years working in social services in the hospital. I was left to work by myself for almost 2 months because my other co-worker stopped coming to work. Once she was able to come back with no consequences, I requested a 12 week leave 6 months in advance in which I was entitled to. My boss denied it. I went to hire up , and she approved a 4 week leave. I quit after a 4 month notice.

Us Aussies don't know how good we have it. Most full time employees get 4 weeks annual leave, 2 weeks personal leave, 1 week long service leave (which can be taken after 10 years) all of which accumulates each year if not taken plus 2 weeks of public holidays spread throughout the year. We'll take that anytime over "unlimted" pto.
