I believe it has to do with how TV works and contracts stuff. That's why they can only upload old clips and not new ones, Jeannie lightly touched on this once and explained why they cant upload new longer clips. So it's not their fault.

You have the right to ASK but you are not necessarily entitled to the answer. Second, Miss Darlene and Mama Mai are TWO DIFFERENT situations. Jeannie already explained Mama Mai didn’t reveal it at first because they went through a long courtship before being married and they didn’t know how they would feel about it or where it would go with the family. Keep in mind this the same family that waited until all the kids were over 18 before they got divorced (which Jeannie said is not uncommon in Asian 1st Gen American households). Miss Darlene is just grown and wants to live her own independent social life...

My parents were together for 36ish years. My dad passed away. My mom was a widow and didn't tell me that she got remarried until months later. Smh. I knew she was dating someone but she lied about that too. I was so upset with her because I thought she would be honest. Well, I got the secrecy thing from her because I don't disclose anything about my love life to no one but my close friends.

Well if my partner lived with their parents, i would be okay with that for the time being but eventually i would want them to have a place if their own. Maybe move in together after sometime but it would be a good idea to have a place for you to call home. Lol far as mom dating again i would say have trust, communicating always (maybe you'll pick up on something maybe not), keep in contact more often, try to do more things together to at least see what new things they like or you didn't know if they weren't single, and be happy for them no matter what. It's not about trusting your mother's judgment, its just the reverse of how you were brought up. My mom always says it's not you I don't trust its the people I don't know and I feel for Tamera it's the same. She don't know this man and wants to make sure her mother is protected. I think it depends on how old the kids are. If you have adult kids you can tell them who you are dating. But I wouldn't do it with young kids, they need stability. They wouldn't even meet a new love interest as "uncle". I wouldn't want to get them attached to someone who can be gone in 6 months or a year.

I totally agree with Tamara’s point of view with her mom. I’m the same with mine. Edit: Lonnie’s point about respecting their business; respect goes both ways and, in my opinion, when the “kids” grow up and become adults, they’re in ALL of their right to know what’s going on in their parent’s lives. Specially as the parents turn older. Again, MY OPINION.
