Hi Louis, nice drone footage. Would you know anything about a massive, abended house in die Parys golf estate? Years ago, a friend and I visited the bar at the golf estate and had a beer. We were on bikes, so we decided to go into the estate and just have a look around. We came across this huge house must have been three stories high inside the estate that was completely abended. It looked like 1970's / 1980's design not that I am an expert. It had a swimming pool as well that was full of muddy water. There was a sort of visible water line on the house that looks like it had been flooded. It was also damaged suspecting the flooding of course. The home was built on the edge of the river. It had two massive pillars facing towards the river. I only ask as this has fascinated me for years and would like to know a little more around its history its construction and its abandonment. We asked locals but no one seems to have a clue.

Hi. I’m sorry I don’t really know anything about that particular house but it sounds very interesting. I’ll pin your comment, hopefully someone will have more info on it in the comments. Was that house in the Parys Golf and Country Estate, or in Vaal de Grace?

So not that bad then. Over here in NZ, Hawkes Bay has flooding with mud up to the roof of thousands of homes and about 2000 people yet to be contacted in the remote regions. An entire town (Wairoa) has basically been destroyed. (This is what happens when they build on floodplains and only prepare for 1 in 100 weather events... then along comes a 1 in 200 year event. Looks like in your area they left a huge area for a natural flood to expand into...

What if they don't have the fiance not everyone can afford boats that's why you find survivors on roofs trying to get away from the rising waters
