Thanks for that, it was a good detailed look at these bikes, I have just ordered a Sovereign, some of my work colleagues are taking the mick saying it looks like a delivery bike, but I figured as I live in Birmingham there are no mountains so I don't need a mountain bike and I am not going to enter the Tour De France so I don't need a racing bike. These Pashleys look well made with lots of modern features under the classic appearance.

I was deciding whether to get a Pashley as a replacement for my 'hybrid'. You have convinced me in a gentle way, many thanks for taking the time to post this.

Oh, how I wish the Dartmoor lanes were a little less steep! If they were, I would be riding one of these now. Thank you so much for making this video; it has been so wonderful to see the bikes compared as that is something that is a little tricky down here in the South West.

Congratulations! Very interesting... I'm ordering the Classic, hoping it will arrive on September... just in time for the beggining of springtime in the south hemisphere. Greetings from Santiago, Chile.

Thanks for the walk around. We don't have any dealers here in the southern part of the USA, Memphis, TN. I like that these come in tall sizes. Great comparison info.

Wow! Got the new Sovereign a week ago. I've fitted it with the 24T rear sprocket (see my post below) which makes the gearing really good for hills and my skinny legs. Used your idea of the protector for the stand paintwork. My model has a different gear shifter, smaller and made of alloy, and the handlebar gooseneck is not black (wish it was) and has different style of clamp. It was good to watch your video again.

Thanks for the video, very helpful as I will be buying a Sovereign soon. For bennythe wayfarer who asked some time ago, the standard gearing on the Sovereign is 42/20. This gives the following (1st - 5th) gears 36.9", 44.3",59.1",78.8"94.6". IMO this is way too high; currently I am trying to find out if a 24t rear sprocket can be fitted.

She arrived last friday... and gave her the name "Maggie Mae"... such a beauty! I'll upload some videos soon. I have the honour to be the first chilean to ride a Pashley Roadster Classic in Santiago de Chile!

@craigmazzali Ok lights try danish company called Reel Lights . There is a good web site calle Dutch bike bits . com and they have all this sort of stuff to change a standard bike. Saddles try e-bay and Lepper Primus which in my opinion knocks the socks off a Brooks. I used e-bay Germany and got it sent overseas.

This might seem like a strange question. But because these bikes have fully enclosed chains on them, does that mean the chains never need oiling or cleaning? If they did how would you get to the chain also? Thank you. Very nice video too.

Can a person 5'8" in height ride this comfortably without hunching over too much? I am aiming for a ride where my back is mostly upright.

I am a similar height and found it quite hard living with one of these bikes - but they do a smaller one now -similar in most respects, but easier to get your leg over

Beautiful bikes, but sadly poor quality... I bought a Pashley Princess Sovereign 1,5 years ago and there was rust everywhere after just a few months👎🏼.... I can’t recommend
