I remember being overwhelmed by this dance when the movie first came out. I think I blushed at my reaction. Paul was a professional dancer but Tara wasn't, and yet she really looks the money here. After all these decades, this is still the sexiest dance I've ever seen. So powerful its almost primal, and yet elegant and sensual at the same time. Simply stunning choreography. Bravo!

It’s perhaps my favourite two seconds of any film ever, and I’ve watched a lot of films... Barry Otto was just brilliant in this role, I think without him ‘grounding’ the story it could easily all be one big joke... he makes you understand that it all means something beyond just Scott and Fran falling for each other (which is lovely, but so is your average movie romance.)

This came out 6 years before I was born, but I'm so glad that my mum got me into it when I was growing up. Easily my favourite dance film of all time, it makes me sad that not many other people have heard of it when I talk to them about it :(

What I like most is she's changing herself and not getting made over by him. And her changes aren't she's all that level haircut, make-up and new wardrobe. She is still very much herself but now she is confident enough to wear more form fitting clothes instead of baggy shapeless t shirts. Even though she's in that dance outfit it's still conservative compared to everyone else. Stunning, but very much her.
