In this video, dog patient Lumi receives rehabilitation support to test passive range of motion on her front legs.
A message from our veterinary care team:
This activity involves gently moving the animal’s leg(s) in a bicycle-riding motion, allowing the joints in the leg to be flexed and extended. This helps put the joints of the affected leg(s) through the range of motion that they would normally be receiving during regular activity. Please be gentle when performing this activity and stay within limits that the animal will tolerate without signs of discomfort. Lightly support the joints. Motion can be undertaken in each direction, pedaling forward as well as back pedaling.
