HUGE Morgan Wallen fan. I heard this song before it was 'released' from the social media video he made after first going over the song and crying in his truck. He sits down with his guitar and just sings it. Wow. I think that was my favorite version. ✨

First time heard MW was at our church. Before he was famous and was a college age kid. Before he went on The Voice. He spoke before he sang and we thought it was going to be rocky. By the time he was done we were in tears. We knew he was special right then. He has walked a wild line for sure but his base is in church and he will always come back to his roots. He is a special talent. Can’t wait to see how he grows in his music as he goes thru life. Truly a storyteller thru music.

I always think it is so cool to see the change in people, and when Morgan was getting "cancelled," he took time to go ponder his decisions and really made a change in his life, and I believe this song demonstrates that, not only for him, but for all believers. We have all turned from a life of sin and shame, from which we fully deserve the guilt and punishment with eternity in hell, but Jesus allows us to attain eternal life in heaven with Him because of his sacrifice on the cross. This is definitely my favorite Morgan Wallen song, and I know his words are going to reach millions of people.

Warning: This is long! I’m a huge fan of Morgan and love that he put this song out. I think it’s his most impactful song ever and probably always will be. What I love even more is that God put it on his friend’s hearts to write it for him! They said they felt like they were in less of a songwriting session that day and on more of a spiritual quest. Morgan has had a very tough time being part of the music industry. He was raised by a pastor and has talked in the past about how he’s always had a rebelliousness in him. He’s definitely fallen into the ways of the world and the “prodigal son” category with all the excess and temptation the industry offers. As a Christian fan of his, it’s been hard to watch him struggle and make poor lifestyle decisions, but around October of last year, God put it on my heart to stand in the gap for him and commit to doing regular warfare prayer for him. I’m still doing it and don’t plan on stopping. I saw a few comments in here about people not liking the message he might be sending of “live however you want” because God will have grace for you and forgive you. And I loved your response about change being a journey and a process and very rarely happening overnight. It’s so true. I follow Morgan’s life very closely on social media and also had seen other people’s social media content of him at bars and such, and he seems to be struggling with a few addictions that have a tight grip on him, and it wouldn’t be very realistic that he’d suddenly drop those habits/vices that have been so deeply ingrained into his life for the past 5+ years. I do have to say though he seems to be in a much better place within the last couple months. I don’t know what he does in his private life, but publicly, he seems to have cleaned up his behaviour quite a bit and seems to be happy and healthy. Anyway, God has spoken to me many times about Morgan, and I believe he’s going to have an amazing testimony to share with the world one day and will be using his talents and platform to glorify the Lord. It would be amazing if more Christians who’ve heard this song and know the tiniest bit of his story start covering him in prayer. It’s so powerful and more productive than assessing how “genuine” he is when he sings the song. Right now, the biggest win is that he put the song out and the message of Jesus’ love and grace has been affecting people. I’ve seen people say the song made them start going to church or it touched them even though they’re agnostic or atheist. It’s pretty amazing! He’s talked about God a lot on his social media and at his concerts ever since he put the acoustic version 7 months ago. I can tell God is stirring something up in him and I can’t wait to see what happens! Fans have been highly requesting for him to do a gospel album ever since he posted the acoustic version. But the requests actually started when he sang How Great Thou Art 2 years ago on an Instagram livestream. So don’t be surprised if he does drop a gospel album one day! 😊 Not sure if you’ve seen it but here’s the link kzitem.info/news/bejne/z4Fo14GproeAdno Sorry for the super long comment 😂

Rest assured I will be first in line to buy that Gospel Album. I couldn't agree more with your statement. I am seeing this occurring in a lot of artist's lives to where they are being more outspoken about their struggle but also their faith. As they do this, it is vital for us to not cast the stone but rather cast Grace upon them. Lord knows I am not perfect, but His Grace is sufficient and because of that Grace, it propels me to share it with everyone as well. thank you for taking the time to write that great input. :)

I think to me, the message changes because he didnt write this song. I think in your interpretation you connected his life to the words sung, even though they werent written by him. I think thats a good thing though. Thats what makes music music. LIke i feel like I can connect it as if it was written about my life as well, and I think most people can do the same.

Agreed. He still has to agree to sing, record, and produce the song. I don’t think he would go through that whole process if something didn’t resonate with him. Great points for sure 🙏

In the song where he says "to hell with you" is he technically saying Jesus would say " to hell with you", like the vulgar use of it. Or is he talking literally about heaven and hell??

Great question. He is referring to if he was Jesus, then because of his mistakes he would say “To Hell with you, ain’t no helping you..” and would not extend grace. But Jesus doesn’t do it that way. His grace is for everyone no matter what

@@AdamCParker_ ok thanks, I showed this to my dad and he's a Christian and he said that Morgan Wallen was cussing or whatever in that part and I tried to explain to him but he wouldn't listen

I think it's important to note that Morgan Wallen did not write this song. It was written by some friends of Morgan with him in mind.

Yes no doubt! He did have to agree and sing the song as well. Looking forward to see responses if he plays this at concerts.

Agreed. Such a great song. Yea to know his friends wrote it for him is still pretty cool. Life matters who you surround yourself with so it’s cool to see him performing a powerful song like this! 💪
