I went to her concerts starting in 1981 and couldn't believe anyone could sound like that live. This beautiful woman ,who was only slightly over 5 foot tall in a black jumpsuit would take the stage and then this booming voice would come out. She would sing soft one moment with amazing vocal range and then hit you with this raspy rock voice.

Pat isn't just a rocker. She is a bonified and recognized mezzo soprano. Fit for operatic singing. The woman is frickin' amazing. LOVE this song! By the way I'm 54, a year younger than Pat:)

I was a staunch head banger at the age of seventeen when this woman burst onto the scene. She held her own and rapidly gained my respect. Glad to know she's still belting it out. This one was always my favorite.

Such a HUGELY under-rated guitarist. A producer and once collaborated with bignames such as Rick Derringer, Neil Giraldo has awesome technique and soul. His leads are searing and match the fiery vocals of Pat. Rock on Neil!

I always loved Pat Benatar. They really rocked and what a voice she had. I like the guitar solo in this song as well. I should like to learn it. Awesome group man. There music had a distinctive rock feel to it, there's no mistaking it for country. They use a lot of up-beat (foot-up) chord changes which always creates a nice rock feel, hard driving rhythm and her screaming voice. I love it.

Benatar said in an interview that she wrote this song on a plane trip. The hum of the engines provided in background and you can hear it in the intro. She wrote the lyrics about her guitarist (and future husband) Neil Giraldo, and slipped them under his hotel room door as a note because she was still shy about her lyric skills. How cute is that! : )
