Great arrangement by one of the best PMG ever with Antonio Sanchez on the drums and Cuong Vu on the trumpet. Genial! Too bad this is the truncated version of the recording. It is like listening to Coltrane's Love Supreme Suite missing the Psalm movement.

Watched Pat and the Band perform this live in Cologne, Germany. I sat behind and above the stage all on my own. Antonio was directly below me . It was an amazing experience. I will never forget how the German audience sat completely still through the whole performance - only myself and possibly 3 others "moved to the groove". I still try playing this on my cajon!

Yayo, love the 432Hz 440Hz graphic you used on The Way Up Part One. I recall A 440 was used on the Mini Moog as a commonly used tuning standard. Interesting that 440 in your image appears so different from the 432 Hz image. Thanks for posting this awesome song!

432Hz doesn't make any difference, the pattern drawn depends on the diametral length of the container in relation with the fundamental frequency, actually more pure the signal (sinusoidal) better the "draw effect" avoiding harmonics as a extra information. This is just cheap pseudo religion. All frequencies exist on the universe, there is no one single tone of universal synchronicity.

As far as I know, the sound image is in fact produced by the frequency. Frequencies are vibrations you know. The lower hz, the lower amount of vibrations pr. second... your statement has no relation to this album either, since the 432 hz. is the pitch which the instruments are tuned in.

The original band ESPECIALLY LYLE MAYS made the Pat Metheny Group. To me Pat lost the reason why I liked him so much. When Pat dropped the band Lyle used most of them on his records. Lyle was a master of chords that no one else would dream of using together. A true genius. We lost the best in the business. RIP LYLE MAYS YOU ARE MISSED.
