I guess I was listening to Toots since I was 4 years old. On Sesame Street. This collaboration with Pat is just so moving. Makes be proud to be a Belgian, so we are not just known for our beer. In Brussels I used to go to my grandparents house via a road called Aldoph Sax. Guess what he invented...

August 22, 2016. The great Toots Thielemans has made his final bow at age 94. Somehow this beautiful piece symbolizes that, with Pat's accomplished guitar playing..that although life is short, some things in life can live on... if only we could go Back in Time.. Toots, your haunting and soulful harmonic playing and themes gave us wonderful music through the years. Not only were you the composer of the great jazz standard Bluesette, but you added great some accompaniment to many many artists in your lifetime. RIP Mr. Toots Thielemans..thank you for your music and your recordings will live on forever in our hearts and minds. You did good!

Sadly, the problem with music is precisely that it doesn't solve problems. In fact, I'd argue that a person, sufficiently damaged, would be unable to appreciate these works. Thus the cycle of suffering continues, manifested as a downward spiral throughout the generations.

August 24, 2017. It's been a year now sinceToots has passed on. The world misses his exquisite soulful compositions and playing style. While the world will see more harmonica players, there will never be another Toots Thielemans. We have to go "Back in Time" now to hear his legacy along with Pat Methany's great classical guitar. A great collaboration of two famous musicians.

This is one of the tracks from his album "Secret Story". Beautiful, haunting intro by Toots I noticed that Toots possibly played a couple of bars that sound like "When I fall in love'" in his intro. This is beautiful piece from both of these jazz masters. The nylon string, I believe Pat is playing, looks a bit the Linda Manzer "6" with a mic.

May the 25th, 2014:) Dearest Zoltie, I still do remember that loveliest of days when I listened to this Music for the very first time, what an emotion, what an euphoria that catapulted me immediately to begin sharing it profusely to those I knew in those old days ( a year inhere is felt like a decade or maybe a century of emotional experience.Have You noticed it? )) proof is still in the early commentators from an acquaintance I had in Mx from him to Spain from Spain into Phillipines, also my darling musketeers from America and England : )) Well, we're still here and though many of our friends are now absent from our YT lives ( some have died, others moved out to alternate "virtual greener pastures", etc.) to those of us that we still lingered and remain becoming YT addicts or habituées to use the euphemism, it still thrills me very much to evoke those beautiful moments but most importantly in keeping alive those friendships like thine with which GOD has blessed us with. The bonding may be invisible but our brotherhood & sisterhood threads interweave, intertwine in a most dazzling embroidery splendent in its multicoloured fabric radiance : we do not paint and write only in sound & images but also with the infinite póesie of the vibrant colour of our souls. I LOVE THEE. I THANK THEE MY BEAUTIFUL BROTHER OF SWEET ESSENCE : RÉTI, ZOLT ° NAMASTE
