There is not and never has been anyone like Michael Brecker playing a sax. No one. Never. And by the way, this is the best performance I've ever heard played on a sax. I've been looking for words for this performance for years, and I can't find them. I guess there are no words.

I have a version of the same song with the same personnel posted on my channel. It is always been one of my favorite Brecker solos. It blows my mind that the same guys can play the same exact tune probably a couple nights later and sound completely different. It's a testimony to all of their genius!

80/81 days..................so refreshing to hear again! A treasure with Michael Brecker. In 1980 I lived off Magazine Street in New Orleans old district and Michael Brecker performed at a club on the street and you could hear from my apartment I shared with my brother and his roommate. It was one enchanting summer evening

Man how do I miss Michael Brecker's unique playing. The man was truly a outstanding musician and legend. This is among the most beautiful compositions of Metheny and I don't think it it could have been better without the Michael's magical signature sax voicings. Thank you Klaurent13 for posting this gem!

Hard to believe at about 7:00 that all this wonderful music is coming from only 4 guys - each is a master of his instrument. I heard Pat in concert recently with his Kin ensemble in a relatively small venue in Ann Arbor. I prefer the general sound of this ensemble, not because of the personnel differences, but because it is less sonically crowded. Chris Potter is a great player and reminds me of Michael. Guys like that need space. I love Pat's solo after 9:00.

@Piero2374
