Thank you for the video. I am planning to do the Base of the Torres hike this coming January, 2025. I’m a fit, early 60s guy but I do understand this is not an easy hike. From your video, it looks like the 2-3 miles of uphill climb at the start isnt’ too bad. The rock and boulder climb at the end I’m sure is challenging but my hope is that by that point, your adrenaline has kicked in knowing you are so close to those spectacular views. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being “killer-I can’t believe I did that!”, how would you rate the difficulty of this hike? Thank you Mike.

We’re feeling kinda overwhelmed on the bus arrangements to Torres del Paine from our hotel in Puerto Natales to get to all the various trails we’d like to do. Is it easier than it seems??

@@backyardcolumbus I totally know the feeling. Planning your trekking adventure can feel overwhelming, especially in the small town of Puerto Natales. Note - every tourist in town wanting to trek takes the morning bus from the Puerto Natales bus terminal to Torres del Paine National Park. Important to purchase ur bus ticket in advance. Surprisingly, all tour buses head in the same direction before 7 am and leave the national park at the same time after 8 pm. You can also decide to take a taxi or rent a car. From the Torres del Paine Welcome Center, you will have access to dozens of trails beside the main trail, Mirador las Torres. Hope this info helps. Let me know. Safe travels!
