Great demo, very musical and creative. I'm glad you used the Terlhamonic for that one, which I find under-utilized in general.

I really looked forward to coming home today and watching this with a cold beer. I did just that. Great moment! This is the first video that I watched on the 0 CTRL that really goes deep with it. Love that, please more! Maybe a patch inspired by silver apples would be cool, highlighting the time feature of the 0 CTRL?

Hmmm, Silver Apples is a tough act to follow. Will definitely be doing more "deep" videos with it though. The plan is for short Patch of the Week vids on Tuesdays, starting simple and building from there, while we continue to post longer and more in-depth videos on various topics every Wednesday. :)

Hey! That was. a lot of interesting stuff going on there! I got my 0-Coast about a month ago now, my first piece of equipment from you guys. 0-Control is next, in March. From there. the Morphagene, and probably Maths and Tempi, as the start of a rack. You guys definitely seem to approach things from a very different angle than other manufacturers and designers, which is what drew me to the 0-Coast in the first place. What I'm wondering, in response to your closing comment, is how the 0-Control can be used in any other way than just other modular gear? If I have a cv/midi converter, could I use the 0-Ctrl to control a soft synth in Live, or to send midi in to my TD3 and use the classic acid sound, but with all the wonky 0-Ctrl timings and so on? What are some ways to use it for regular synths outside of Eurorack?

Thx for the great video. 2 days ago i finally got mine. i know the tonic set the pitch. but how can i set the telharmonic to not to hear the constant ton....i mean like v/oct like ?? it should be possible, right?? i pluged in my keystep pro and can play the pitch, but as soon as i stop i still hear the constant signal. so how to set that right?? i saw on chris mayer's walkthrought, he plays it through his akai keyporad just plugged the tonic! would be great to get some tipps!!

Hope you are enjoying the tELHARMONIC. The tELHARMONIC functions similar to a VCO. VCOs (voltage controlled oscillators) typically produce sound but do not control its volume. Volume is controlled over time, typically, by a VCA (voltage controlled amplifier) or LPG (low-pass gate). For example, if you run the signal from your tELHARMONIC into the input of an Optomix (which is a low-pass gate), you can control the amplitude (volume) with the control knob or via a function (envelope) or other signal patched into the control input. Many low pass filters also allow for a low enough cutoff frequency to functionally make the sound silent. Sequencers and keyboards typically have a CV output for pitch, and a gate output for generating envelopes, controlling amplitude via VCA, etc. If you have further questions please shoot an e-mail to technical at makenoisemusic dot com and we will help you out. Thanks and happy patching!

@@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC no, i am good, thank you. i thought the telharmoic does have a vca built inside.i aready figured it out that i need to use it like a normal oscillator. so i patched it to my vca and eg and now i'm enjoying its TREMENDOUS sound. it might be my second fav module after morphagene off course. I decided to collect all the sounhack modules. so please tell Tom that i really love him!! may GOD bless him and his. and much love to the whole make noise family from munich/germany

Is there any advantage to Pressure Points/Brains vs. 0-CTRL in this use?
@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC
4 жыл бұрын
To do this patch with Pressure Points and BRAINS we would've needed at least another MATHS and VCA to clock the sequence and achieve the Dynamic Envelopes and the Time modulation. Also the Direction modulation works differently on the BRAINS (the input is momentary rather than toggled) so that element might not even be possible without additional patching or devoting a row of the sequencer to it. The only thing a Brains/Pressure Points combo would really have that the 0-Ctrl doesn't have is a pressure output for each step instead of just the one common output.
