Preparing a traditional dish named as "Patrode" by using young Senna Tora (Tajank/ Tagathe soppu) plants, which is healthy and tasty morning breakfast. Tender leaves are better to use. The leaves are cut finely and mixed with rice batter, grinded with sambar powder, methi powder, turmeric, Tamarind and salt. Then steamed for 1 hour. Finally prepared a tasty sweet upkurry from it.

Ingredients:
Senna tora leaves (ತಗತೆ ಸೊಪ್ಪು)
Soaked boiled rice 4cup
Soaked raw rice 1&1/2 cup
Sambar powder 5tsp
Salt
Tamarind
Methi powder 1&1/2tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
Water
Grated coconut 1cup
Jaggery 150gm
Coconut oil 2sp
Urad dal 1 sp
Red dry chilli 1
Curry leaves
