The "Pathway to Play and Preservation" proposal, which will be on the November 5th ballot, includes a focus on ways to incorporate more play in every day in Sterling Heights. The proposal plans to develop Rotary and Red Run parks with key features including a new canoe/kayak livery with expanded parking for those disembarking from the Clinton River after a paddle, access to a piece of Sterling Heights history in the form of a tribute to Belvedere Park and additions to the City’s southeast area like a dog park, a nature observation deck, outdoor pickleball courts, and a 24/365 satellite library. The proposal also includes the creation of a brand new indoor pickleball complex to help meet the increasing demand of this popular sport. For more, visit sterlingheights.gov/pathway.
