Knowing everything we know now about Hollywood , it's hilarious that any of us, including Patrice, still thought he might make it with how early he began burning bridges and how consistent he was about it throughout his career. Thank God his character was preserved for some of us to use.

If I can offer a differing perspective; mental illness has allowed confirmation bias to support a bunch of well-intentioned people into following a charlatan headlong into a wall, purely for the entertainment of this overseer. 1:23:40 Oh, and Patrice is making another brilliant point again. This is an argument Jimmy needed to hear. We're creatures, not angels. And a lot of people in the scientific community seem to forget that it's very possible that there are certain things we may never be able to understand as creatures. Because as humans we're capped at how much we can understand, just as a flower will never truly know it's a flower and try to learn English. A lot of people tend to forget that we're organic creatures, not angels. We may never get there.
@sayville_silver

@johnnonamegibbon3580
9 жыл бұрын
3Way Entertainment A common misconception people tend to make when talking about the future, is that they think human beings are capable of anything. They think we can magically grow in any direction. That's the definition of an angel. We're not angels. We're organic creatures. We have limits. Just like a flower can never, say, learn to speak French, it's entirely possible that there are things that are beyond our understanding as the animals we are. Patrice noticed that, oddly enough, and corrected Jimmy. He called it human arrogance. Which is fitting.
@johnnonamegibbon3580

***** Oh, I know them well. Most are humble, yes. But I actually meant it as more of a critique of human nature in general. We often think, or like to think, that we're generic. We can do anything, understand anything, shed our instincts. We're not generic. We're very odd creatures. We have all sorts weird instincts. Patrice was reminding Jimmy that we're arrogant as humans. That it's very possible that we may never get "there" because we're just too stupid.

I love Patrice, very deep & thoughtful & has had some super intelligent perspectives on many issues. Ant & Jim also have a great sense of humor & insight into many things as well. With that said, their comments on science & physics I mean damn, they need to be a little more humble about things they dont understand. For example, just because you are a genius mathematician doesnt mean you are an expert on every subject. When Patrice said "I heard Einstein was a hack" and Ant talking about "life goes on", this just points to our lack of understanding for what Michio Kaku is saying regarding advancements in physics, etc. Yes life goes on, but these scientific endevours only seem like curiosities at the moment but they eventually lead to application. I can't imagine the Greeks forseeing all the ways that geometry is being applied today, or do you think the computer scientists from the 1930's knew we would be playing Call of Duty online with each other smoking blunts in high definition?
