I'm an old fart so I already knew about the fantastic Patrice Rushen from my disco days! As soon as MIB came out I recognized the similarity. But I only recently learned that George Michael had sampled "Forget Me Nots" for his song "Fast Love" (and he did it a year before MIB). Just goes to show what an awesome song "Forget Me Nots" still is. Good job!
@ZeroSnake
I was just singing forget me nots in my head but kept on getting the men in black lyrics, then it hit me like hold up hahaha. And I'm 31, nice sample

What an incredible song. This music makes you want to dance. But at this point I have to dance by myself. This song has even more meaning now since I lost my wife to MBC 8 weeks ago.

Patrice did such a wonderful job with this tune! She is truly a prodigy, and has been recognized by others in her field, in particular, Quincy Jones! She remains involved in the music business to this day, and remains one of music's true treasures! Bass: Freddie Washington; Tenor Sax: Gerald Albright; Many of the "Dipshit record execs at the time declared the song "a flop..." Well, if you consider being used in several movies, and sampled by contemporarys at the time, AND VH1 declared it #4 Dance tune! Hey...No Sh*t, sherlock! Thank You, Patrice!
