Does anyone ever wonder why we are still listening to Patsy? It's been 57 years since she was taken from us, and she was a star for many years before that. It's because she was a star, her music was music for the ages. Patsy will never grow old, her music will never grow old and fade away. So many of the so called stars today will never be able to say that. Patsy was a one of a kind and once you hear her, she is with you forever after. We are so fortunate that we still have her music, and we always will.

Perfectly said! I'm quite confident she would have had a decades long career with that stunning voice, but she is forever captured in that perfect bubble. Like Marilyn, and so many others taken before their time. The mystique around Patsy will be around forever I suppose.

Bless your heart. Im a 65 yr old white woman and i have a love of Africqn American voices with soulful beats, and a derp love for Luther Vandross. But those beautiful southern Baptist voices on Sundays of those church ladies that could sing pike nobodys business. I loved in South Carolina for a while and a whitewashed wooden church stood practically in my back yard. Well let me tell you, i thought that church was gonna fall apart from the clapping and stomping! But i got as close as my yard would allow me to listen to that southern Baptist sound from the most beautiul ladies wit glorious voices and decked out in the most gorgeous outfits with their Sunday hats. See, we can love one another, embrace and share our cultures and traditions. Dont ever let race interfere with you expanding on the diversity that sometimes comes your way people! Dont sweat the border! Im down for Mexican music and Chili Rellenos and a Mariachi band can play for me any ol time! We get one shot at this thing called life. Embrace it, laugh and have a blast! Most beautifully filmed sequence in the whole film, so stunning that it hurts. I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out and this scene blazed over the big screen was breathtaking. Jessica Lange did a marvelous job of capturing Patsy and as others have commented, they smartly used Patsy's original recordings as Cline's voice has never been matched and probably never will. (The recently produced "Judy" did not make such a wise decision and Renee's voice distracted, sadly.) What made this sequence even more dramatic was that it led up to the sequence that involved the plane crash that took Cline's life. Such talent, such loss.

We still love Patsy Cline's music because it touches our souls. Seldom has The Good Lord blessed us with such an angelic voice.

God had blessed Patsy's talents, sadly, only she had been ended short time. But God had never failed her to let her opened her eyes and to heal her wounded heart to face the cruel world and she was able to dealing with the human natures. Though she went somewhere else for God's assignment, but her music was still here in this earth.

@rose ison Chills, I still get chills. I’m able to close my eyes and my 80 y/o mothers is 30 again. And dancing in my fathers arms, in our living room of our little bungalow. They are in love, Kennedy is in the WH, & Santa still comes in December. Life was good, & I still love her music. Classics stay classics & we will never have another PC. RIP, dear woman.

She was an awesome singer. And Jessica Lange did a great job portraying her in the movie. Sweet Dreams.

HI...Hello from Puerto Rico....i was in the army many yrs ago stationed in Ft. Hood. Texas... i learned to listen and love country music while i was stationed at Ft. Hood....But then i had learned to love love all kinds of music since an early stage of my life...except heavy metal...theres a beauty a feeling of sadness and despair in some of best country music songs.......when the movie Sweet Dreams came out and i saw Jessica Lange portraying the life of Patsy Cline i was hooked.... This song Sweet Dreams is for me one of the best songs in musica country... Sadly like Patsy some of the bests singers in the world were cut short early in their lives...Patsy Cline....Edith Piaf from France..,Billie Holiday...Sam Cook...Selena Quintanilla.. Ricky Valens....the list goes on and on......R.I.P. all of them..
