Did you know heightened emotions create and/or strengthen patterns in your brain? Strong feelings like fear and pain amplify your memory storage so that your brain can remember what’s life threatening-that’s good if you’re truly in danger but not-so-good if you’re just trying to do everyday things.
Emotional experiences affect how you interact with the world every day. But when your perspective is colored through feelings like fear and pain, your brain learns patterns based on self protection.
Brain retraining is simply re-patterning your brain away from these false storage messages.
But we don’t want to just re-pattern to anything. We want to re-pattern after Jesus! ✝️ 🙌
