T shot is approximately 20 cal. I use to use hevishot t’s and coyotes couldn’t handle it.

Try a Carlson's extended Light Modified. I wouldn't go any tighter. That's why I perfer BB sized predator loads in Hevi-shot with a 28 inch barrel.

Hell we really like that 4’s tss that’d be more than enough for any coyote shot presented round here

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA, It would be interesting to see a gel test between that #4 shot and a BB load in TSS. It's totally different shooting a semi-stationary target vs a charging coyote. That's why I use a Carlson's extended Light Modified for the Hornady Varmint BB load I use for coyote. You would definitely want more payload to hit it and a more open choke to spread it out. Jake, check out MOJO Outdoors and Predator Quest shotgun videos on KZitem. A charging coyote will make you a believer in taking a shotgun with you as backup for your rifle.

@hk45c62 yes I always had a shotgun with me when I hunted them, shot more with my shotgun than a rifle as I hunted swamps etc never shot that far

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA , I did a lot more rifle predator hunting in upstate PA than I could where I am in SE PA. I use both down here, I would say 80% shotgun because of population growth and lack of land to hunt.

TSS T shot should be approx 24 pellets per ounce. 48-ish pellets in that 2oz payload.

I wouldn't go passed Improved modified with #T TSS, full with #BB and .685 with #2 and #4. I tested the #T and #BB with a modified in the 870 (nominal bore diameter). That's plenty of constriction for extended range whitetail hunting.
