Another tower on the North Side - probably 2 more years ? Tunnels are popular with the precast concrete rings - maybe ground underneath the river is not suitable ?

It will address driving safety while on the bridge but will not address bottlenecking of traffic before and mostly after entering Westminster side and their after, it will be the same old problem, but the new bridge gives a new look to an existing problem.🙄

Hey there Jack. I'm assuming, where your drone flights are, that you have your Advanced Done Pilots Certificate and RPAS Flight Authorization? I assume you're involved with the project and I'm curious how hard it would be to get the flight authorization near RCH heliport of one was not on an active project in the area?

Unfortunately neither a basic or advanced certificate is required to fly a drone like this one that is under 250 grams. You can fly in controlled airspace with them too.

@@JonnyRay82 that drone is under 250g? Wow, handles pretty good with a good quality camera for under 250g. I'm impressed.

The steel I (eye) beams are all rusted.

It's likely Corten steel. It forms a protective layer of rust then ceases rusting. It does not need painting which is a big deal. If not, it will be sandblasted to near white and painted.

Breaking all sorts of laws here. Illegal to fly more than 122 above ground level and final tower height (less than crane) will be 167m so drone is way too high. Especially since it is flying exactly on the edge of restricted airspace for hospital heliport. Also, the drone must remain in visual contact with operator; highly doubtful given the take off location. Regardless of

@@ModernProjectManager ok, excellent for using spotters! But above ground level doesn’t mean “above take-off level”. Need to lower altitude with topography otherwise you are breaking the law.

@@ModernProjectManager absolutely. AGL “above ground level” 122m maximum changes with surface elevation… and that applies to all aircraft (150m minimum for planes and helicopters… the 26m difference is a safety buffer)(..actually 300m minimum for aircraft over cities and towns but they regularly hit 150m over my place). Anyway, you need to use topography map to figure out safe altitude and how it changes along your flight path. In this video I’d say your take off location is 100m above sea level (Fraser river is basically sea level: 0) so I’d say climb to 50 m then drop to 20 or less once you’re over the river…. Making your altitude 120m AGL (in this particular location basically the same as ASL)
@ModernProjectManager

@@maxgees99 it’s actually fine, because I launch and transmit right in front of the bridge, and the top elevation is perfect with the tower. It all works out, so I don’t need to get any higher.
