I have become so jaded over so many years that the idea of a 13 minute jam session between two of the greatest and most awesome guitar-toting musicians of the modern age is about 12 minutes longer than what's left of my attention span. It just becomes TOO MANY NOTES.

Some men are just born to play guitar, and there is Gilbert... Man, I love that guy and the feeling he have. Did he ever learned guitar or is he "The Guitar"

so on some "recent" videos, Paul has not been wearing the monster ear protection, anyone know his tinnitus status? Is he wearing in-ears in this vid?

Wow, never saw Greg hit any "wrong" note or mess up till now and this was a full on choke. He just hit one bad note and he never quite recovered. He just kind of stalled and went what now what now and it threw his whole thing out. I didn't expect that at all. Maybe he was thinking too much about oh no, I'm not supposed to outplay Paul, we're supposed to have a CONVERSATION. Oh well... Greg Howe is an amazing player despite this unfortunate choke.

To know the 40 years of work that Paul Gilbert and given to the Rock Community, those that have followed him on his Journey know that without a doubt is one of the most accomplished guitarists on the planet and can basically play anything from Rock Standards to Blues and Jazz.,.. His Racer X Metal period is something to be appreciated in the mid 1980s and tho it’s 40 years later he is still on top of his overall playing abilities., The only gripe with this video is that he knows that he has to tone it down technically when playing with other guitarist.,Tho Greg is an absolute amazing player in his own right, nobody on the planet is going to be at the level of Paul and knowing that he has to dumb down his playing for of not he is going to make the other guitarist feel uneasy not being at the level Paul is especially in a back to back lead scenario. I know that there is no ill will on Paul’s agenda to be the one that stands out but it comes across that way for he is just that good and I believe can’t help it…. Regardless, what a phenomenal performance by these two legends 🎸🎸..

WOW this is the first time I have seen Greg Howe get out played. I knew Paul Gilbert was a beast on guitar and after all these years he still is. But Greg Howe was getting tired and his hand was hurting him. I think there is something going on with Greg. I am a Big Greg Howe fan and I have been watching him lately on some of his performance and he seems to not have that charisma he normally have. Nevertheless both Greg and Paul are AMAZING GUITAR PLAYERS

Yup something must be going on because as bad as Paul Gilbert is, we all know he can’t out play Greg Howe.

Gilbert plays 10x better with the strap higher lol and using gregs guitar, why does he choose anything less? Needs to reevaluate his gear. I think he deliberately chooses to fight with his instrument now in order to shred less , but he's become a boring blues guy on that thing
@NowakP

Because he's a rock dude first and a guitar virtuoso somewhere down the list (maybe around point 101). He wants to have fun, he wants his audience to have fun and a chin strap is simply not rock enough for him ;)
