What amazes me about an amazing guitarist is he has the same notes to work with as I do. The only different between he and I is his dedication to his craft. Much respect

Sure, I'd agree with that. When all you do all day and your main focus in life is guitar, you too could go from novice to virtuoso in no time flat! In my case, I have this pesky little issue with holding down a day job to pay my bills that prevents me from devoting every waking hour of every day to getting my chops to a level that could rival that of Paul's. Heck, I'm lucky if I can get an hour's practice in every day before exhaustion from the day's chores takes over and causes me to totally zone out!

@@Chrishagen I see what you mean but don’t you think that practice is more important than raw talent? He had the talent and dedicated himself. Sure life doesn’t go that way for most of us but let’s be glad that there’s a guy out there that DID make it doing what he loves. Peace

Much respect to Paul Gilbert for waking up one day and thinking to himself, “I need to play guitars with f holes. And not even real f holes, painted on f holes” and basically making a career of playing guitars with painted on f holes. ✊🎸
