That's what I tell people.. if you're not skilled with a gun and you want a gun for self defense just get a fuckin .22 or .22 mag. You might do more harm than good with a gun you can't control. I'm actually a fan of .22 mag for self defense but hey.
@NarutoUzumaki-eo9fv
2 жыл бұрын
@@jhtsurvival bruh 22LR and 22mag can definitely take down a person, is kinda annoying when you hear some know it all act as if 22Lr can’t even go threw a window or dry wall or can’t even get threw there clothing like it’s just some sort of BB gun... The bullet can make it into the brain with a head shot, the bullet can make it to the heart and other organs possibly can even make it far enough to hit the spine it can break ribs... it can kill, plus add in the fact that if it’s a rifle and most I’ve handled are accurate asf and you can hit a quarter at a considerable distance away with iron sights... like almost zero recoil so you can dump a mag while still having pretty damn good accuracy... and that’s another thing people don’t talk about is just how damn fast you can shoot one of those 22s and accurately I might add, so using a 22 your prolly dumping 10 rounds or 25 or however much you got in the mag at them in very very quick succession while staying very accurate the whole time so I’d say you’d stay more accurate than if you got a larger caliber, plus more people are just comfortable with a 22... comfort does matter when you need to be accurate and don’t wanna be jumping and flinching every time you’re about to squeeze the trigger, your wife would be good with the gun, your son, your mom, dad, grandma, grampa, sure some people will argue “well they should train with an ar15 or 9mm blah blah” but if you needed a gun that about anyone can pick up and use to defend there self safely, I’d pick the 22LR or 22mag, plus cheap ammo means more training which means more accurate shot placement which means a 22Lr hole in the head is better than a 9mm hole in the wall

@@jhtsurvival My 'last ditch' is my old Freedom Arms .22 cal. "4-shooter." It's loaded with semi-jacketed hollow points. But before anybody gets to that, they'll have to get through my .45 single action army or my S&W Mod. 59 (my 'pack a lunch' gun, since it holds about 15 rounds), depending on which one I'm carrying that day. A .22 is fine for self-defense if you know WHERE to shoot. I'd stay away from any kind of stick magazine fed semi-autos, though. I had many 'jams' caused by the 'supposed to load next's' rim somehow getting behind the rim of the bullet under it. That 'overlap' caused the bullet to fail to feed into the chamber and jammed the slide half-way open. Go for a "wheel" gun and get as many chambers as you can. And, like anything...practice, practice, practice!
