A brilliant episode of the pod this week as Valerie and Stephen chat to Paul Kelly, captain of the Irish Team for Golfers with a Disability (proudly supported by ISPS Handa).
Paul was speaking from Golf Ireland HQ as the European Team Championships trials were taking place, and so he talked through his role as captain and how the trials play a part in team selections.
Paul also discussed the progress that has been made in golf for people with disabilities in recent years in Ireland. Going from the challenge of opening the conversation six or seven years ago, to today having more than 20 golfers tryout for a sponsored team that is looking to defend it's European title this summer after a memorable victory in 2022.
Aside from the chat with Paul, there is also the usual news roundup, including great performances from Shane Lowry and Lauren Walsh, whilst Tom McKibbin secured his place at this year's US Open.
