These two created this Trench utopia in which music, story, and emotion are being expressed like they never have before. Two of the most talented musicians and producers of our time in a room... get's us songs like Chlorine, Morph, Cut My Lip, Bandito, and Pet Cheetah. WOW! Love this breakdown of the production process on Chlorine, Paul! Had no idea. My fav song on Trench and that’s largely due to the Outro which still makes me cry. 🥹The honesty of Tyler talking directly to us (I believe) after the 1 year hiatus that followed the huge commercial success of Stressed Out catapulted TØP into the limelight. One of my fav all-time TØP lyrics: “I’ve been tested like the end of a weathered flag that’s by the sea” followed by the deep “can you build my house…” Just brilliant. Great production job, guys. I love it even more, knowing all that went into it 👏
