It was in 2009 - I just came from Abbia State (Nigeria) when I heard this song for the first time.
- Thank you Paul Nwokocha -
This song of yours reminds me a lot about family struggles. I will give one example: one of our aunts was severely sick but there no one in the family to care for her or to help. So, me and of my cousins (RK) decided to take her to the hospital. We were desesperate and did not know what would happen next. But we firmly believed that her life could be saved. By surprise, we realized that following our prayers, another cousin joined us with his vehicle to assist with the transportation. On our way to the hospital, that other cousin was playing this very song. I asked him to continue playing this song until we reach the hospital.
It was strange to notice that after hearing the song many times, I was filled with so much much energy and strength to the extent that I was able to carry our aunt from the car like a baby to her assigned room. Her her weight was about 350 lbs. Many things happened at that hospital ...but her life was saved.
When I came back home, I could not stop singing this very song. But since I don't even know Igbo language and can't understand the Igbo section of the tract, I decided to go to local CD/DVD distributor to find it out with the hope that the video will have CC (English script) to display.
I was so happy to discover that it does have it. I can read from my GRUNDING television screen - back then - what Paul was actually saying in this song.
Since then, I can't stop playing it.
When I came to the U.S., my struggles continue with my family back in Africa and me far away (home sick) and much more. I used to play it twice a day
After playing this song many times, I attempted to call and email Paul Nwokocha to request his permission before posting this video on KZitem.
I finally posted the video - to be a blessing for someone out there in the world, and I hope it does and will continue to do.
Amen!
Edit: as of 09 August 2020: that aunty is still alive, well and healthy.
This is my personal story about this very song.
Please share you if you could.
