That's Dallas Texas, Mudvale Utah, Littleton Colorado, Birmingham Alabama, Blytheville Arkansas, Dyersburg Tennessee, Perry Maine, Great Falls Montana, and Anchorage Alaska.

also, for that bit when he related watching the shots just post-large marge, the truck revealing the big dinosaurs, was totally full of 'feels' right then; he knew he had made the right risky decision to wait and find his own director... i always remember that scene too, for the fact that the next shot in reverse is of pee-wee turning around from his spooky experience, that "what just happened?" look lingering on his face, to see the dinosaurs that were revealed in the previous shot, and letting his face suddenly glow with his typically childlike happiness, like, "i'm home! i'm safe now!" before walking into the diner to complete the scene... some other director might've insisted he jump up and down and exclaim "haha! dinosaurs!" or something... burton knew he could communicate that scene completely visually. for that matter, i don't recall even a single word or line of dialog from that scene mentioning the dinosaurs at all... only the other visual/plot jokes of andy ripping up a prop dinosaur-bone to go try to beat up pee-wee. but, face it... from the very beginning - the tour-de-france sequence, thru the rube-goldberg breakfast sequence... "pee-wee's big adventure" is 'just another' 'movie about movies'. and, those are often the -best- movies... ('singin' in the rain'; 'cinema paradiso'...) and, in that context... "pee-wee's big adventure" is tops. no contest.

Started laughing *again* along with everyone else, cuz of his hilarious humor of going off on a different story etc. And then it quickly turned into tears, and questioning why we had to lose such a bright star. I don't mean star like famous, a star cuz he shone so bright as a person. Good tears of course but sad that he's gone. He brought us all so much joy & laughter and to see him still full of so much life and giving to this audience in such a humble way yet still being 'on' so to say. He's just incredible and so thankful we all got to experience his brilliance & humanity while he was with us. ❤❤❤

this is exactly what i want to see when i watch these kind of things. i dont want mundane questions from audience members that only know the most basic things about someone. i want to hear the interesting stars tell funny inside stories about life and times in the business, a weird wonderland full of bizarre people and crazy incidents. this is just what i want to see and hear. i was actually never a Pee Wee fan, but i LOVED Paul in the old Cheech and Chong films and in many other things through the years. and i came and watched this whole thing because i had seen some short clips from it where he told the story about choosing Burton "whom im also not really a fan of" for the film. and the Bowie and Grace Jones story, and they were so good i wanted to see the rest of the panel.

Did you notice that you won't find one individual who impersonates Dick Tracy's number one enemy: Flat Top Jones? They don't even impersonate Dick Tracy's number one enemy: Big Boy, especially at any comic book convention you name. Most men and boys who are comic book readers today don't desire Dick Tracy. They know that this character represents a police inspector whose man of the Lord God. They don't even care who his enemies were. Ah, they don't play by the rules. They play dirty. @jedijones
4 жыл бұрын
The problem was that his career wasn't at a high point then. His second movie was not well-reviewed and lost money at the box office. His TV show was already cancelled at the time of his arrest. So his career was already in a mode where it would need to cool down for a while and hope for a comeback later. So the arrest came at a terribly vulnerable time for his career and made any chance of a comeback much more difficult. He wasn't a hot property at that moment so there was little incentive for a studio to take a risk on him. So as years go by with him out of the public eye, his character becomes more forgotten and other comedians appealing to the same audience like Jim Carrey and Mike Myers (in Austin Powers) came in to fill the gap.

Just wondering why doesn't Paul do a Pee-Wee animated series now? Animation comedy has blown up into such a huge thing since his original TV show ended.
