It’s the exit of the old private Renault garage they used to have for testing. It’s actually a bridge that used to go over the pit in. Renault later moved their private garage to the Mistral straight.

What a Gem this video is, I understand a lot of things about this track now, also the shiveringly Devilish sound of the 70s-80s era engines is just something of another world, plus Walker Murray's voice being the cheery on top. *Gold* 👌🏼🔥💯...

I cant help but look at the scenery and imagine that they had to cut everything down and level the ground itself to build the circuit into the parking lot it is today

The hairpin just after the finish line was creepy. It is now capped with two steeper angles.

At Least its cool to see that they didnt changed the layout at all, except for adding a chicane on the long straight. Claustrophobic Style compared to the new one :D

i think the first turn is always wider in 83. looks way tighter nowadays
