Meet Paul Weaver, an Amish man who does deep relief carvings as a hobby. He starts with a solid piece of butternut wood (laminated) and uses saws, knives, chisels, and Dremels to create a stunning scene. On average, a carving takes him three months to complete, although he doesn’t work on them full time. He created around 60 carvings, 26 of which are available to the public for viewing at Lehman's in Kidron, Ohio. He is there, in person, on the 4th Saturday of every month from 9:30 am to 2 pm if you want to meet the artist.
