Non hunters don’t like hunting. It makes no difference to them if it is in season and legal. It’s called the Bambi Syndrome. Another sign of the times.
@TombstoneHeart
4 жыл бұрын
The "Bambi Syndrome." I like that! This reminds me of a story a workmate told me and it pretty much fits in with the Bambi Syndrome. He has a friend who owns a large acreage property in the south-west of Western Australia and he lives there alone in a pretty much off-the-grid lifestyle and mostly lives off what he can catch, trap or shoot on his property. My workmate and his girlfriend travelled down south to spend a week with him and the first night they were there, his mate served up a dinner of locally caught marron, a species of freshwater crayfish. The girlfriend couldn't eat enough of it and raved on about how delicious it all was. The next night he did a roast leg of a wallaby he had shot - and she flatly refused to eat one mouthful of it! She told both of them that were both cruel and heartless and it was just so disgusting that they would want to eat such a cute little animal. Basically, she totally fucked up what should have been a very relaxing and restful week off work in some pretty special surroundings. The lessons I took from my mate's ruined week off work was, 1 ) Never take a woman with you if you're going to be shooting your own dinner and, 2 ) If you can't avoid having her with you, never tell her what she is eating! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marron

I was in a similar situation. My brother in law and sister, we're the managers of the old Earl Stanley Gardner ranch in Temecula California. It was almost 3 thousand acres in size. I was doing some coyote control and one of the renters (there were several rental cabins), when a deranged lady renter went ballistic when she saw me shooting yodel dogs. I was over 500 yards from any occupied dwelling. I found out she was a member of PETA. My brother in law had been trying to evict her, without success. After shooting several coyotes, I hung the carcasses on a bob wire fence leading to her rental. She moved a week later.

In many states it’s actually illegal to harass hunters and is subject to fine and arrest. Give them one warning, if they don’t leave, call fish and game and ask for an agent to get to the scene. Video evidence and insists on prosecution and that they are willing to appear for the prosecution. These people need to learn the hard way through the wallet and bars. Hard to tell on the video but that house looks like it’s 200 yards away. A range finder would make quick documentation to that.
