It's only "worth" $3k because some random dude said so. There's no way to actually clock the value like that since value is dependent on demand. There is plenty of demand for something signed by Reagan and Disney since there are a ton of people who, for some reason, really really love Reagan on top of the Disney era nostalgia/history.

As a Disney fan I would love to have this bill. It's a one of a kind piece of memorabilia from the opening day of Disneyland. The condition of that bill is so sad, so many dark deep folds, and watching how he treats it is really upsetting. Even in good condition the bill would be worth less because the printing is off center but it could have been a lot better had he not treated so bad. I wish I had gotten it.

the series 1935E was printed from aprox. 1953-57. disneyworld opened in 1955. BTW, as you know, the $2 is considered bad luck. My aunt has a $2 bill (red seal, US Note)with Bob Crane's autograph. She had no paper so she pulled out a $2 for him to sign. As you know, ole Bob was later murdered.(BUT, not by my aunt!)

Its no secret they pick what to showcase on the show, but what they do is examine it or have a lackey do it, and then call the expert they'll need, and tell em what it is so they can research it, and they can work out an "appraisal" price the shop wants to pay.

Disney autographs sell for $4-5k, Reagan sell for at least $1500 (sometimes far more.) This is not a signed letter, contract or check; but with a PSA cert it could go for $5500. The offer of $2200 on a $3000 valuation was fair, but the estimate was low.

I really don’t like it when they get the item valued and it turns up significantly less than the seller is asking for, and the seller STILL wants their asking price instead of working with them and actually leaving with some money. Like, these people that appraise the items are professionals. They know what they’re talking about.

Yup Ron Regan co-hosted the opening of Disneyland July 17, 1955. So the story behind the bill is more then likely true. With Disney and an American president autographs on the same bill and verified at the same location at the same event. Well I think he could get more then 2,200 out of it. Regan and Disney collectors would be interested in that.
