Why bother even thinking about it when it didn't sell for more? And no, automobiles are not like the trinkets sold at their shop, inherent value may be fleeting for a one-off build but there's not that much wiggle room for something done right. If you offer too little, you simply offend the seller.

One guy tried to sell something on pawn stars, could not reach a deal. Did up a online posting including as seen on Pawn Stars and got better than the original asking price. Classic cars are tough to sell. You get tire kicking test pilots, or collectors who are looking for numbers matching stock.

Custom cars come with custom headaches. It's not like you can check youtube on how to fix it like your ford or toyota. It's a niche market, if a car is too customized I won't even consider buying it.

What people don’t realize before wasting their time with these extra customized cars before they even start building them, they need to realize it’s SO customized that they’ll NEVER get back what they put into it.

At least not when selling to a pawn shop. They would need to find a buyer who is in to that exact look, but doesn't want to build it themselves. Hard to find, since the people who like that kind of custom work usually enjoy doing it themselves.

Unfortunately "custom" vehicles usually includes depreciation- just the way it is. The more customized and abstract- the less demand. Bone stock is what everyone desires. This vehicle isn't even street legal and basically relegated to car shows.

You just need to install a sparkplug into the end of your exhaust pipe, run a + cable through the car and through a 12v push switch beside driver then to the plug. Run negative to other end of plug. If the car is running and you hit the switch it ignites the excess funds and hey presto. We used to do this to our motorbikes back when I was a kid.

That's what prompted me to start collecting coins and banknotes😀 Moreover, immediately after that I became interested in history! I actually personally know the guy who built this car. He does it for a living. He builds all his rat rods from the ground up and they all go for major money. This one was my personal favorite, I seen it in his garage while the finishing touches were being done.

Not likely. Rat rods are built specifically for the owner. They are all unique. The chance of someone wanting that car with all those crappy modifications is very unlikely.

I think he's the type that wanted it on the show more than actually selling it... you know so he can say "I was on Pawn Stars"

dude its a show. when you assume its almost all fake, and it is. you may understand some stuff. like the dude never even want to sell that to a pawn shop in the first place. its all teater for the show cause its a fackin cool car i mean why not show it on tv. they make a living with that. the dude knows very well its worth a lot more. and its a high probability he even dosnt want to sell it. the deals are made long before the show its up. the prices are set and the bargain its just for the show so you know.

You see when you customized something, it means you customize it the way YOU want. That doesn't mean other people will also prefer it that way. So just because you customize it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get more money when you sell it.
