I don't think 'baby took it like a champ'. So what would you do if you were taking something out of a coworkers desk or the infamous 'cookie jar'. If someone tapped your hand you'd stop in your tracks too. This isn't the first time NOR the last that this kid is going to torment this cat by trying to pull it's fur out. Every other vid I see of a baby & cat or dog together there's a parent or sibling there showing the kid how to be nice to the OTHER family member (pet). It seems that someone has to show baby/toddler how to stoke the right direction (so as not to annoy the family pet) - not from body to head but the other way. If stroking there belly you (baby,) still need to be gentle. Pets aren't like your stuffed toy, speaking of, the other day parents were dropping off the 'inder 5 year olds' to a dance class.Unfortunatly my bus stop is infront of studio & parent don't understand that others use this sidewalk to get to dentist, physio office up the street, etc. Studio has floor to ceiling windows about 5' wide each x 6 glass panels - lots of room. Parents insist on using the entire sidewalk to stand & watch their kids. Your in a block with four other busy businesses & a bus stop. I use a can & could you move in to allow others to use sidewalk ,&/or pass, please move & allow others to move! At any rate. A mom dropped off daughter & watched from sidewalk area outside studio. One of the few adults stand close to windows so others could get by - BUT, other child, male about 5 or 6 years old decided to remove his sun hate, like the Australia 'hunter' and whack his mum in the ass - oh not playful at all - these were full on wind-up strokes aimed at mom who seemed intelligent enough - after about 4 or 5 minutes of this misbehaviour - to tell her kid to quit.i can assure you these weren't little taps, I could clearly hear them as the material struck her bum. All I can say, and for my friends same age as me, if we hit our parents in the ass with article of clothing even once, our parents would have grabbed us by scruff of shirt or tip of ear & removed from area and home - but of course we got a lecture BEFORE leaving the house that any misbehaviour would result in returning home - and no, not a chance to now go outside and pull the dogs tail relentlessly, remove all pot lids out of bottom stove drawer to 'be in a band' & annoying us - - - - or go ride your bike up and down the street like a lunatic.....and not return for an hour.... I guess no one teaches their kids how to treat animals; neighbours dog, family pets,.much less about the weirdos in the community or how kids are supposed to be respectful to ALL adults; parents, teachers, neighbours, lady at grocery store, or when we're at the bank, maybe that's 'not a parents job' anymore.......or since the 1980's. Too bad but of course this is why kids expect a brand new car upon graduation, not mom's last family car....not a chance. Sorry about the family lecture but I see how kids act when with parents (disrespectfully) relatives (begrudgingly), neighbours or service ppl (grocery or fast food outlets) why would anyone be nice there? It all starts at the beginning when ppl don't seem to correct misbehaviour and just let everything slide....great learning tool be leading by example. Good job - not.

@shakhakhan2402 - You are so right! It's obvious that gentle, yet wise limits and teaching started right at the beginning, will (usually) turn you into a well-behaved human being. Somehow, many parents now seem to think that sticking a cell phone into a one year old baby's hands is the best education! So now they're entitled, egocentric, impolite, can't spell and have no proper vocabulary. What a great improvement!! O tempora, o mores!

There's nothing perfect about parents acting like violent animals in an attempt to "discipline" children. Hitting children is stupid, lazy and cruel. Statistically you will see a greater prevalence with lower-income, less-educated parents. When a child is acting out, it's not about getting them to stop the behavior but finding out why they're doing it in the first place. Children are people too. Why is it okay to hit a child and a felony to do it to an adult? It's not okay and it is something that traumatizes children. Even if it's a slap and not a punch, children are injured emotionally because their needs are not being addressed.

No, the fact that this cat swiped at it, even without its claws, that still just shows what a cat is like… They’re little bastards! A cat, any animal should know the difference between an adult and a baby - and this baby wasn’t doing anything but just touching it. She is back there filming the kid. I'm giving her the benefit of doubt seeing how this would go.. and she did allow the cat to deal with it, hopefully she let the cat deal with it again if need be. Parent, if the kid gets rough or pulls it the cats hair again, please put the camera down & discipline your kid, then continue to enforce respects for the animal... then again the cat has got this, Allow the cat to get a Little rougher if need be to be consistent with the kid and show her NO MEANS NO. Sometime animals doing what they do is better then what us humans do, but the cat knows the kid is respected too because she didn't claw the kids eyes outs the first time. She hit her as she would hit her own baby kitten.
