I am glad that it went well and met your needs. If you want to ventilate over long, idle periods, a small solar panel should provide enough energy to run the fan and protect the battery. If ventilation proves to fall short, a push fresh air fan could be considered along with your present pull-the-exhaust fan. Your choice of parts is ideally suited to the vehicle, defining their role in a smart, well finished package.

I'm really looking forward to your first adventure. We full timed in our little 17' travel trailer for 3 yrs. Loved it. My only fear is that you will have exhaust from other vehicles coming through the back vent. We have an arctic fan on the roof of the trailer. 16 years never a leak yet. It switches directions to blow air out or in. You will know what works for you after you have been on the road. Just keep exhaust in mind please. ❤️ WELL DONE TEAM 💕

Hopefully a helpful suggestion you may want to put a hepa type replaceable filter material on where the fan sucks in fresh air because the screen will still let in like the noseeums bugs and other small ones that can and will come right through the screen on the steel vent! Just a thought! I love your work though! ♥️💕🙏✝️🤗🦌🪴 the bugs will get sucked into your ac or whatever the air goes into!

Something you can add is one or two Soler panels not the house ones but the paper thin ones glue to the roof no (holes) but wiring ??? You can add a 2x battery keeping the system 12v just making it bigger win you set for days . You can add a norther fan for the read pulling more air in to the bush putting it on this same switch . Doing all of this you can add a flip down (TV) ???? (O YES) now your GLAMPING !!!!!! :) Have a good day .

Your bus is built basically like a camper. No way would I want to sleep/chill out inside our camper ( summertime) with no a/c and windows closed. I think you’re underestimating how hot it will be. Your system is no bigger than a stove hood fan. That would not cool a space. What about wiring your a/c unit to also run off surepower for when you’re “ plugged in “? I speak from experience. Power outage camping last year. We have a 35’ rv. We roasted like a turkey on thanksgiving. And that was with every last window and vent open. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, just trying to help.
@diyfferent

It may help a little, but we're not really using this fan as a way to cool the bus down, it's more to let fresh oxygen in and expel excess moisture from building up inside the bus.

Doug I’m a School bus driver just to let you know when they’re driving down the road you should plug the vent in the back with the square back of the bus fumes roll around the back and possible for them to come in through the back vent that’s why on a school bus we do not have any venting on the back panel of the bus they were either on the roof or the windows on the side so please plug the vent while driving it will be fine while you are sitting and the engine is not running but the exhaust fumes will swirl on the back of the bus please be safe love your videos I did check this without maintenance garage and they agree that while driving the van should be plugged in the rear and when stop and vehicle not running you can unplug the vent your venting system should work fine

****please be aware of carbon monoxide while driving--- the exhaust from the van engine will come in the rear--***... especially like if you have a direct path for it to enter.. a drivers window open or that vent above you where the fan is mounted the outward draw will bring in exhaust while driving.. the aero dynamics of going down the road brings it right into the cabin compartment making you sleepy while driving and causing blood poisoning due to long term exposure, ( * just wish you might make some sort of cover to be able to "block it off at the rear" and let the fan draw its air from some other source at least while traveling --even though the exhaust pipe is on the other side- " the carbon monoxide MAY NOT be noticable" when traveling... but may affect your health) please understand I care that all.. it comes from a good place to mention .. thanks for understanding I am not your critic..
