Hey man , install new amd cpu support win11 on asus X370 and try disable CSM and enable uefi security boot. My nvme was mbr and boot Win10(upgrade) clone from Win7 old ssd . With some program change mbr to gpt and try disable CSM and enable uefi security boot and no boot Win10 anymore on this setup, change back CSM and Win10 loading and work . Go to bios again and do same disable CSM and enable uefi security boot and not loading again. After third try nvme is gone from storage information but still show on boot menu. Get other SSD sata3 with win10 and loading and see nvme and can operate with him , made low format , set GPT again + dynamic disk. Load bios and same is gone from storage information , in any configuration not show up. Load install media win10 and use cmd to check disk and all good but win installation wont install win10 on it - say it's not gpt disk. This is normal wont install because nvme is hide on bios. I try everything : clear cmos with battery , change bios version, change cpu , unload drive from mobo , low level format, try any configuration on bios - there no more new bios version on future too. Almost one week stay with this problem , can't run it , i haven't another nvme for try on my mobo. What you think i need to do ? , get all my PC and go to Service for PCs or unload nvme from mobo and do same? Sorry for english not my native. Long time ago not have expirience like that.

Download last media from MS web and create usb flash drive after that made clean install on Win10. Forgot change on bios before install Csm to disable and set uefi security boot. After installation change it and Win boot normal like not change . But still on bios not show my m2 nvme in storage information on first page. Everywhere on boot menu see my drive.

Hey man, that's all really frustrating sorry. It sounds like you've pretty much tried everything, so I can appreciate it's an annoying problem. Did you say that you have tried a clean/complete format of the NVMe drive too? At this stage that is what I would try (if you have not already reformatted it). It does sound like converting the NVMe from MBR to GPT has caused a problem here. so a reformat might help. Beyond that, it's really hard to know what to suggest - sorry. It sounds like you have a good technical understanding and have tried lots of steps, so I'm almost out of ideas too. I hope someone else can see your comment and jump in though - maybe they have gone through similar with the Asus X370 mobo? I hope you can get this resolved quickly though 😕

I came across this video but my issue was crazy, I flip pc’s so I have lots of hardware to swap out. Anyway, Asrock b520/r5 3600/ started with a rx580 4g after hours of swapping CPU’s / power supply / m.2 / ram / I was scratching my head. Every time I disabled csm I lost video, I would have pull the CMOS battery and this process was getting annoying, anyway it was the GPU’s I got off eBay. Apparently the bios in them is to old I had got several rather cheap but they won’t work in windows 11 with csm disabled. I’ll see if I can reflash them but first time I ever ran across this issue, both motherboards I used were Asrock one was a b450 the other a 520. I have Windows UEFI mode set in Secure Boot but when I disable CSM boot gets stuck at the Windows logo and does not progress on to showing the usual circular progress bar as it loads Windows. Hey man, that was a clear explanation. Is there a discord or somewhere we can discuss issues? Want to ask, my mobo is b450 gaming pro from msi, 2019 bios defaults to CSM. When the last time I got my win10 installed, BIOS was in CSM, but the partition of the SSD was GPT, still is. If inside my BIOS, I switch to USFI mode, can I boot? I know I can give it a try and find out but the cmos battery is behind the GPU and so I thought I ask you instead😅
@TechOverwrite
Ай бұрын
Hey. Thanks 😊 Unfortunately I don't have a Discord currently no, but I've been thinking of something like that. In terms of your question, in theory UEFI would boot into a GPT partition with no issue - UEFI should have more modern support here. But it can depend on exact how the partition got created (it should be fine with Windows, but some third party partition software might cause problems). Unfortunately all you can do is try - and hope that you don't need to remove the GPU sorry 😔

There is nothing in my monitor at all even after toggling CSM support. All that happens is my GPU doesn't show anything at all and Idk for some reason sometimes the mobo gives error beep messages as if nothing is installed on PCIE slot when I turn off CSM even though the GPU is placed perfectly. After a few hours the GPU gives a little BIOS logo and the monitor then turns off and then it's the same case. I've actually lost count of how many times I've reset the CMOS or unplugged the battery
