thanks for the review, I just ordered the universal sliders for my 24 Hours of Lemons Accord race car. I dont care about instructions as I just weld up all of the brackets and mounting myself. But the sliders themselves look like they are good quality from your review.

My experience with PCI mount is very similar. it is one of those product, that eventually it will work perfectly fine, probably overkill, but the process of making it work was painful

Glad you like it, the build quality is top notch compared to the buddy club. Can’t put a price tag on safety. I truly enjoy mine, besides the occasional slider adjustment bar coming off. Great Video! Works great with the Recaro Pole Position

Phew! Just FYI to anyone trying to mount these things.. Ran into several issues. Instructions were all in black and white so you'd have to visually guess where things kind of go. Spent 15mins taking out the seats, 30-45mins kind of figuring out where things go... I bought the passenger side for my AP2 (2007) as well and had to figure out which sides belong to what. After piecing the bottoms together.. had to remove the seat belt off the OEM one and place it on this one.. however there's a little metal tab on the oem ones that prevent the adapter from going straight up.. so I had to put it at an angle. After figuring that all out, tried putting in my bride vios 3 with spacers.. and lesson learned, put the mounts that go to the seat first!! before bolting the thing down to the base... so much wasted time trying to get spacers in and the seat correct. With the seat finally in.. the bolts for the back of the seat from the OEM (14mm) were not long enough to go through the mount and thread to the chassis. (UGH) So I used a random single 17mm to bolt it in for now on one side.. And the stupid slider doesn't stay in place either. Thought the slider was in a locked position, but the freakin thing started sliding while I was driving. Make sure to rock the thing ALOT to make sure it's in a locked position. If anyone has better tips on these mounts... help? :D

Also.. the base has 8 bolts to the slider. I started with putting the sliders on the closest set of 4 bolts inwards, but could not get the spacers in, so I ended up putting one side on the outer 4 set of bolts instead. This made it so the bride vios 3 could be used with the spacers without too much of a gap.

Do you have a link to the seat your using in video? Is there plenty of room to slide the seat up and back like stock? Also were you able to lower the seating position relative to stock? I am considering this exact setup on my car since Bride seats seem to be the best at lowering the seating position since the sides are flat for mounting the side rails with the L facing outwards.

Here is the seat: www.evasivemotorsports.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=EM&Product_Code=BRI-F42GMF&Category_Code=BRIDE_VIOS It slides back and forth quite a bit. And the seat is much much lower than stock, almost on the floor. With my helmet on I have much more room above my head.

Like I said they definitely drop the seat, but they drop so low to get it back far enough you need to shove AP2V2 seats into the carpet and now your seats don't move. They're a really weird product.

PCI Slider seat rails vs StreetFaction vs Bride Seat rails vs so on so forth... PCI wins?
@DIYGuysvideo
6 жыл бұрын
Never heard of the StreetFaction seat rails. Just took a look at them and one thing I notice is that with the harness plate it looks like the seat won't be able to get low enough. The material looks noticeably flimsier. Would be interested to see someone review them. As far as Bride Seat rails go, I've heard they are great for Bride Seats. The benefit of PCI Slider seat rails is that they are versatile for a wide variety of seats. They have more width and height adjustment. So you can change your seat down the road or potentially have more resale opportunity. Also, PCI will be stronger for sure. Also, the Bride Seat rails don't seem to support 5/6pt harness?
@Limeayy
6 жыл бұрын
DIYGuys wow, I didnt know that about pic slider rails. I knew they can be lower from the video but being a stronger, versatile, and 5/6pts awesome. Resale value is a must.
