This initial video is intended to outline how you can thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) if you are unable to secure a PCTA Long Distance Permit for the complete trail. You are still able to hike the PCT using local permits, and it is surprisingly easy to do. Some related LINKS are provided below. If you plan carefully, it is possible to hike the Pacific Crest Trail using only 3 section/area permits. This is an initial video discussing the topic from the perspective of hiking Northbound (NOBO) from Campo to the Canadian Border. Updates and any corrections will be added through the season.
