Outstanding video! I would be very surprised if the manufacturer of the PDM60 could find a way to improve on this presentation. This has been extremely helpful. Thanks for taking the time!

Thank you Stephane for a very clear video presentation. You helped me to understand what the "ignition" wire is for, that being it is to be connected to another wire that gets power as soon as the ignition is turned on.

I believe that the PDM60 SHOULD include the Negative Ground terminal block as part of the kit, Because, really, who wants to make a rats nest of wires connecting to that negative lead they include in the kit! Other than that it appears to be a great power kits for motorcycles. Expensive but compact and useful. Excellent installation and set up instructions video!

Probably the video I've seen on the PDM60. I've decide not to hard wire the unit to the bike but instead introduce a 9 pin block connector which will allow me to unplug and remove the unit should ever want to change or redistribute any devices and reprogram the unit.

@bandolin1216

I know this was posted 5 years ago so I don't know if you are still around Stephane but there is something I don't quite understand. You have connected your accessories directly into the PDM 60 so that when you turn on your bike the accessories will also turn on after the delay. But what if you want to control them through a button? I don't want my driving lights on all the time. I only want them as extra lighting at night on dark roads. The typical push button switch has 3 to 4 wires (ground, positive, common & open circuit). Obviously the ground will connect to the ground on the PDM60. But how do you distribute the other 3 wires from the switch to the single circuit wire coming from the PDM?
@363rs

Can someone tell me please why my pdm’s lights are on even if my bike switch is off, and why my air horn can be activated with a button even if switch is off but that line needed the ground trigger activation???
@Dragonmaster163

You should never short a hot wire on the battery ground terminal to simulate or test anything. find a ground location away from the battery to prevent sparks and possible battery explosion.

Anyone use the PDM60 with sargent cycles heated seat/controller? Even though I have that circuit set not to have a delayed power off, it acts like it does (but just partial power), or more likely, some sort of vampire/residual power. I power off the GPS, heated grips, LED lighting, etc and issues. But the sargent controller stays dimly lit, flashing, for a few minutes before the "power runs out."
@michaelbennett8847

From support... Hi Michael, Sorry for the delay in response, we have limited hours during the holidays. I think you’re on track with the solution. The PDM60 design was fairly specific in its function and it has some limitations. You’ve discovered one of the limitations. Whenever any circuit is live all the status leds will be on. The purpose was to always show all the circuits status when the PDM60 is on. When any output is live, the PDM60 is on. Active (on) outputs are green, inactive circuits are amber/orange. Your PDM60 is functioning correctly. The led on the heated gear controller lights due to the very little power required to light an led. There is not enough power in the inactive state to power the heated gear but just enough to light the indicator led. Thanks, Aron

Stephane, what size wire is the positive lead?
@okupantgb

I know it's been 5 years now, but someone may still looking for it ;) The positive lead is 10ga (5.26mm2), the output wires and the ground wire are 16ga (1.31mm2). The info comes from pdm60.com.

I have this, don't buy it. Somehow, washing my bike killed it when it was under seat. And because it's supposedly sealed, they can't repair it. Crazy expensive waste of money.
