It's funny because we spent like 3 hours debating how the ADS movement buffs worked until a dev gave us some very uncertain tips about it. So we finally adjusted all the ADS perks (Moving Target, Elemental Capacitor on Stasis, PKs) so they make more sense and the math works on them when it comes to stacking multiple. Anyway, nice timing it looks like!

it goes to show just how absurd PKs are that if you cut them in half they still do more than pretty much every other weapon *or* movement exotic while being *both* clearly they should merge stompees and lucky pants into the same exotic and just call it a day

I think you missed the point, PKs could have been nerfed 75% and they'd still be a good option. it's SMGs that are the problem. PKs do more than other movement exotics because they only do it when you're using and SMG. When SMGs are too good of an option that's when you run into the problem.

@@HajileMalach SMG ttk is also not the problem, as their ttk is matched, or exceeded by guns with similar or much farther range. It's target lock that makes that ttk even faster, the stability buffs that makes building into range only viable, and the very high aim assist when in optimal range. Those things are the problems

This video was awesome, but what I love the most is that you are one out of very few KZitemrs I've seen in the gaming community that actually KEEPS their deaths in the video. It adds a whole layer of trust in knowing that you are okay sharing this stuff, and gives us a much better time because nobody likes seeing choppy edits out of the respawn screen when its so obvious in the first place

I think this is a move toward a proper change. Still powerful but need to actually build into it. Not just throw them on and call it a day. Can apply that logic to a few things. Free power vs a strong build etc.

The best thing to use is Shayura's with elemental capacity and moving target on stasis. This creates the Giga-Strafe.

The Showrunner can get Target Lock, with Nadir Focus, and with Dynamic Sway or Well Rounded. If you get Hammer Forged, Accurized, and a Range Masterwork it's about 19 meters of range. Sure, it's not 20 meters like on Multimach but still, it's pretty nasty.

I think moving target unending tempest is just flat out better than synchronic roulette, the missile almost never procs in my experience. Perfect float is awesome when its active, but I feel moving target makes the gun more consistent overall. The slight strafe speed increase is noticeable as well, now more so than ever.

@@mewderator6410misinformation, every class movies the same speed at base. PKs have juiced ads strafe speed, but every class can get the 12.5% sprint buff and 100 mobility. Hunters have better movement options in their kit like the jump, shatterdive, entire strand kit, etc

On your comment at the end about wanting more strafe speed in the game: as I'm sure you're aware, 99% of people consider mobility a useless stat outside of reducing Hunter dodge cooldown, or at the very least a much weaker stat than resil and recov. Maybe pulling some levers on that might be called for? My take on this is that mobility should grant 1.25% sprint speed per tier (12.5% being the cap in the current sandbox anyway) and exotics that buff sprint speed can be converted to buff mobility, though that probably would take some rebalancing and may not be feasible for technical reasons.

I have an adept shayuras with moving target elemental capacity and on stasis before nerf there was zero difference between ads and hip fire strafe speed. I haven’t tested it since nerf tho

Here's why I don't really like the change, but it's not because I think it makes Pks unusable: 1. SMGs are the problem not Pks. They have been overtuned since basically Multimach/Shayura came out. 2. This caught a nerf before Bastion, Threaded Specter, Threadlings/Thread of generation, list goes on. (It might be an easier nerf to do, maybe that's why) 2. This nerf basically does nothing. Pks still do absolutely fine and the real Problem points, which are Void Titan kit and SMGs are again left the same. My whole worry is that, after the real problem points are fixed. Pks will just not be worth running over something like Dunes, espetially if Bungie thinks they should just nerf them again. That's basically the gist of it. It just makes me worry because I don't know if they've got other changes planned and how it will shake out.

One thing in the videos that is not correct that in D2 armor picker you chose fragments which limits you to 30 recov but when you put on the armor it apear like you gain 30 recov extra which kinda odd like which one is the correct

Everyone says smg's are the problem, yea sure they have a little too much range and aren't punishing enough but the titans kit is what makes them that potent. You can run mindlessly with shoulder charge into smg range, slap a barricade down for cover and get full overshield, and then instantly melt someone, and then grab an orb for devour if you're using reaper just to do it all again in a few seconds.

When it comes to nerfs, the community always has 3 responses. 1) The nerf doesn't move the needle in an impactful way, and the nerf is ignored completely (See NTTE's history of nerfs to still be the best pulse, only lowering in usage after new toy syndrome from 120 buffs along side igneous) 2) The nerf slightly inconveniences the build and is just barely noticeable, still leaving the thing way overtuned, but as a knee jerk reaction, everyone migrates away from the 'nerfed' thing, only for people to find out much later their nerfed state is still wildly strong (See antaeus nerfs/wormhusk nerf) 3) They actually nerf something hard enough that it loses it ability to fulfil its main role, leading most people to not run it anymore, or relegate it to neich builds (See syntho nerf. Fuck that nerf lmao) PKs absolutely fall into the first category this time. Sure, they're less strong. But when your by far the most dominant exotic in the game in pvp, halfing your broken status doesn't change much, as its still doing what it needs too. Aka, making the strongest, and easiest weapon type in the game, simply stronger across the board. You're playing warlock or hunter? Well PK titan will almost always win the smg 1v1 bc their gun simply has more benefits stacked than you do. Same for titan who opt to not run them. The biggest issue I have with PKs is that, unlike pretty much every other weapon specific exotic, they grant their entire kits benefits, for free, at all times, with no time limit/cooldown (Like lucky pants), kill/ability requirement, and at the same time, grant more benefits to a single weapon type than any of the other exotics of its kind. Add onto it that the weapon that gets those benefits ARE smgs, and it becomes a genuine issue. (Personally, i'd like to see all benefits but the mobility and reloading effects relegated into either a lucky pants effect, or tied to having barricade charge up, meaning you have to consciously choose if you want the bonus effects, or the safety the barricade grants. Would also heavily reduce the amount of pairings you'd see with void titan, as you can't pop OS then run people down with PK boosted smg, at least if your the teams sole void titan)

@@Eli.D2 Yeah of course, thats no problem. Synthos had 2 effects pre S23. 1, base melee range was buffed from 3.5m base, to 6m, equal to pre nerf knockout melee range, but was unconditional and always up. The second effect was to grant a large melee and super damage bonus when surrounded by at least 3 enemies. With its nerf, the first buff was removed entirely, and replaced with a different effect, granting bonus handling, when under the surrounded effect like the second effect. There's some issues with this. Looking at the original first, the main use you'd have for using synthos was as a cleanup tool at close range, mainly paired with shotties and smgs. While the 2nd effect IS strong, its was more potent as a 6v6 abuser against clumping with the dive melee rather than anything else, in 3v3, it very rarely came up, and most teams would be able to plan around the knowledge a syntho titan was in the lobby to not let that effect proc. Losing the main function it filled, being a cleanup tool, was really bad for it. The dirt in the wound so to speak for the nerf, is the handling buff when surrounded by targets, which, in pvp, if you have 3+ people surrounding you, and you're swapping weapons, you're almost assuredly not winning, at all, and 9/10 times, would rather be trying to abuse the bonus melee damage stacked with knockout for 1 hit kills. The change is basically only a pve factor, where it WOULD be nice, if they had not lowered its total damage from 3x to 2.6x, then gave wormgods a rework to almost always do its roll better. Why they didn't simply equalize the melee range bonus with the post nerf knockout range, i don't really get either, since on top of all these other issues, basically means it can ONLY do its job, on the arc class, (at least in pvp) which I don't think is a good change, tying things down to only work on a single playstyle inevitably makes for a stale game. Tldr, melee range at all time for clean up WAS its exotic identify, and the bonus damage, while strong and potent for sure in pvp, was more rare thing to come up, that good team could already plan around, and the new effect that replaced it was moot in point as it'd have effectively 0 effect in pvp. All whilst heavily limiting the subclass selection you could use them on, imo, for the worst

@@Eli.D2 Of course. As a pve option, synthos is good, and the new handling while surrounded are nice, but like I said, Wormgods are kind of their dad right now. Peak syntho dmg is 9.6x melee damage, vs wormgods almost 14x, and it takes like 12s before their multipliers are tied, assuming you can't refresh your wormgod stacks, and by then, the damage you score is so huge, you'd need like 20s+ of damage to make up the damage difference on synthos. And the second you can get melee kills to refresh wormgods mid damage, gg at that point. Synthos went from SS tier exotic thats good in both pvp and pve, to like a high B/C option in pvp, and maaaybe S in pve

PK nerf is... well it doesn't actually address the real problem, being out of band SMGs and target lock. It sorta makes sense that PKs got nerfed since every half decent titan exotic got nerfed in the last 18 months.

And then you have me with the mental issues who already started messing around with a 100 Mob/100 Res/20 Rec Icefall Mantle setup in 6s that also has 100 Int, which I'm sure could be even worse if I leaned into the free 4x Stasis Surge it comes with, but I usually just embrace the Sweet Business memes of it. (Which 4x Stasis is enough to allow something like Syncopation to 2-burst or a Prolonged Engagement with Target Lock to kill in 10 shots for a 0.60 TTK.)

Everyone complaining that you can circumvent the nerf are not getting the point. You didn't need to build into PK's to make the most out of them, now you do. Honestly I'm fine with PK's giving a lot of benefits because it's only for 1 type of gun and only when it's out. PK's are going to be worthless if/ when SMG's fall out of meta, like they were for years. You can't break this meta by killing the exotic alone, they need to do something with SMG's. After that autos will take their place because ngl autos have greater ease of use already, they always have. I honestly don't get why people dog on those, they're great.

Whatever exotic titans use after other things get nerfed into the dirt becomes a problem and the cycle continues until the next dlc drops new supers and abilities deliberately overtuned to bring people back with 2 new armors per class with one being glaringly useless by comparison to the other being overtuned and so on and so on until marathon comes out and flops and this zombified husk of a game studio finally closes its doors the end.

Titans should have to spec into mobility anyway. Im a hunter main so I can’t even use a titan unless it has 5 mobility and even then feels a bit sluggish but playable. Warlock I use 8 and hunter 10. Just can’t deal with the low strafe speeds coming from hunter.

Cammy I see your point and I don’t think the nerf is that bad but the reason I hate this nerf is because though it is slight it’s stupid. I fundamentally believe that exotics are supposed to take things over the top and change engagements. I don’t buy the logic that says PK’s are busted and astrocyte isn’t simply because of one is easier to use that the other (blink is so easy to use though). Exotics should enable you to call people out in a special way and require them to preform to beat you. To me this is another unnecessary nerf in a long line of unnecessary nerfs that are making the game boring.

I've got so much to say about the changes but suck at video editing. The short of it is i think this was a balance change on PK specifically to differentiate the frames of smgs and how they interact with PKs.

so I've been a peace keeper titian since shay came out after ars got nerfed into the ground in beyond light I don't mind the change and I'll always defend smgs as I need another weapon that isn't a handcannon where I'm forced to run it to be competitive I've been trying the new comp pulse on mnk and I hate it so much it doesn't feel sticky at all and unlike my messager back in the day hand cannons are on par or I'm barely out ranging them I do feel you on the aim assist as drang on controller was so damn nutty that to this day it still melts people I really think they need to look at the sandbox as I hate laning so much I just wanna run around a shoot people without running into a deathball for peaking a corner

You’re forgetting one thing, they’re exotics. They’re supposed to make something better. Hunters and warlocks have other exotics that are extremely strong. Why must they always focus on titan exotics when other things are way more oppressive, like 3 strand hunters throwing 6 grenades and doing 6 dodges all at once. How is that much more balanced than the peace keepers

Just waiting for an Ele Cap + Target Lock smg. I really don't understand why people cry about PK titans. PKs meta relevance is entirely dependent on SMGs. And I thought that people wanted more primary gunfights? Maybe I'm biased because I like using SMGs, but I think the people crying about PK titans are targeting the wrong things. Target Lock on SMGs is not healthy and needs to go, not PKs.

the pk nerf is a good start but it's not enough to that cringe playstyle in general. barricades and OS need to be toned down quite a bit, and smg need to not be so easy to use

Question for some serious pvpers should I bump my mobility up from tier one on dunes up I typically have a stat break of 100 resilience, recovery, discipline with a 70 in a random stat like int or strength

With other builds, you usually want at least 2 - 3 mob. On my Hoil build I have 3 10 10 6 10 3. You get a penalty for going below tier 3 on your bottom half of the bucket

No, lower is better for skating, try to up your int to 9 with 8 disc if anything if its for 3s

@@crayon-munchr1795 it's not like shatterskate or anything you just spam jump, even easier with paddles need to be on catapult to get good speed and i know a lot of controller players use strafe though

PK is basically SMG meta dependent. Don't think anyone used it as much until SMGs started to dominate

I used to think turning precision bows in to special weapons was insane. Now , i think they should be special ammo right away. And go ahead and tone down light weight bow precision multiplier
